The Senior Manager, Technical Program Management (TPM) will play a critical role for the Venue Technology & Operations team, leading large-scale initiatives and driving complex projects from strategy through execution across Major League Baseball and Minor League Baseball. This role goes beyond coordination—you will own the delivery of high-impact programs, manage contracts and resources, and ensure seamless execution across multiple stakeholders. Working in an agile environment with world-class engineering and operations teams, you will help deliver innovative fan and venue experiences. The Senior Manager  will keep initiatives on track, align cross-functional teams, and clearly communicate progress, risks, and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, overseeing lifecycles from research through implementation, utilizing the end-to-end project management framework defined by the Technology Strategy & Operations (TSO) Organization
  • Collaborate with Venue Technology and cross-functional leads to define scope, gather requirements, and establish schedules
  • Partner with Business Operations on project budgeting, cost tracking, and invoice management
  • Coordinate project communications, ensuring clear updates to internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare weekly executive reports with key performance indicators and issue tracking
  • Track and manage dependencies across projects, working closely with other TPMs across verticals
  • Assign and manage tasks using project management tools (e.g., Asana, Google Workspace, ServiceNow)
  • Facilitate internal approvals and agreements with Legal, Finance, vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Ballpark Technology, Technical Facilities and Technical Solutions teams on site surveys, equipment locations, cabling, and infrastructure needs
  • Work with subcontractors and vendors on purchasing, installation, and support of equipment
  • Partner with on-site technical teams to finalize punch list items
  • Foster collaboration across departments to align operations with business priorities and outcomes
  • Ensure effective communication across teams, adapting messaging for technical and non-technical audiences, including executives
  • Identify, analyze, and communicate project risks following the risk register format defined by TSO
  • Establish team velocity, release cycles, and key performance indicators
  • Execute and maintain agile workflows (Agile, Scrum, Kanban), including defining activities, dependencies, work effort, and resource requirements
  • As a Senior Manager, TPM, mentor other TPMs and Project Coordinators in the TSO Project Framework

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5–10 years of experience in facilities operations, broadcast engineering/production, streaming engineering, or related fields
  • 5-10 years of experience in a role with significant program management or multi-project management exposure
  • Familiarity with modern broadcast standards and technologies
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication skills for engaging with executives, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
  • Proven experience with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban project management methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to set and achieve challenging goals
  • Strong delegation and leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, including evenings and weekends as required

Salary Range: $165,000 - $200,000 (Base Salary) + Bonus

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related aspects of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills, and any other factors MLB considers relevant to the hiring decision.
