Position Description:

Great onboarding turns complex technology into a great customer experience.

PAR is looking for a Senior Onboarding Manager, Ordering to lead some of our most complex enterprise restaurant implementations, helping customers successfully migrate to and launch on PAR’s digital ordering platform.

This is a senior individual contributor role built for someone who loves owning the work. You’ll lead enterprise implementations from kickoff through go-live, bring structure to complex and ambiguous projects, and serve as a trusted advisor to customers and internal partners.

You’ll join as a senior IC, but there is meaningful opportunity to expand your leadership impact as the function grows. That could include taking greater ownership of team practices, mentoring other onboarding professionals, influencing how the function scales, and growing into broader leadership responsibilities based on business needs and demonstrated impact.

Position Location:

Remote - New York, Texas, Pennsylvania, Florida, North Carolina, Minnesota, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois

Reports To:

Director, Program Management

What We’re Looking For:

Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years of experience minimum in SaaS onboarding - adjacent experience that would be considered includes implementation, project management, technical consulting, or a closely related customer-facing function.

  • Experience within the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) technology industry on tools like digital ordering, menu/catalog mapping, POS integrations, or first- and third-party ordering channels is especially valuable.

    • It is not absolutely required, but candidates with this experience will be highly prioritized.

    • To expand, experience with restaurant technology, restaurant operations, POS, delivery platforms, or franchise environments is strongly preferred.

  • Technical fluency with SaaS platforms and integrations.

  • A track record of independently leading complex enterprise implementations and migrations, ideally supporting multi-location customers.

  • Strong project management skills, including scoping, timeline ownership, risk management, governance, and executive-level status communication.

  • The ability to take an ambiguous problem, create structure around it, and drive it forward without waiting for every answer to be defined.

  • Excellent customer-facing communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical challenges into clear, actionable recommendations.

  • Comfort balancing competing customer needs, technical dependencies, internal priorities, and timelines.

  • A continuous-improvement mindset. You don’t just execute a process. You notice what isn’t working and help make it better.

Unleash your potential: What you will be doing and owning:

  • Lead onboarding (including enterprise) engagements end to end, from kickoff and technical discovery through scoping, menu build, integration testing, staged rollout, go-live, and hypercare.

  • Own project plans, timelines, dependencies, risks, governance, and stakeholder communication, bringing strong project-management discipline to every implementation.

  • Serve as the primary onboarding partner for customers, guiding them through complex decisions and keeping teams aligned around a successful launch.

  • Lead complex digital menu and channel implementations, including menu configuration and validation across first-party ordering experiences and third-party marketplaces such as Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Grubhub.

  • Navigate POS integrations, menu/catalog mapping, channel parity, and other technical dependencies in partnership with customers and internal teams.

  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering, bringing implementation insights back to the teams shaping the product and anticipating product dependencies that could impact active implementations.

  • Identify gaps and opportunities within the onboarding experience and help develop repeatable playbooks, processes, documentation, and operating practices that allow the function to scale.

  • Use AI tools to improve project planning, analyze onboarding metrics and timelines, and streamline status reporting and documentation.

  • Act as a senior subject-matter resource and mentor for the broader ordering onboarding team, sharing knowledge, helping teammates navigate complex implementations, and raising the standard for how we deliver.

  • Help shape how the Ordering onboarding function scales, taking on increasing leadership and ownership opportunities as the team and business evolve.

Interview Process:

  • Interview #2: Video interview with the Hiring Manager (via MS Teams)
