Who is Boulevard?

Boulevard provides the first and only client experience platform for appointment-based, self-care businesses. We empower our customers to give their clients more of the magical moments that matter most.

Before launching in 2016, our founders spent months interviewing salon managers and working behind front desks to understand their pain points so we could design a modern, user-friendly platform that meets the unique needs of their business. Our roots may be in hair salons, but we are built for the broader self-care industry, including many types of salons, spas, medspa, barbershops, and more. Our technology not only helps our customers survive but thrive. Take a look at how we (and YOU) can make that happen.

We have an insatiable curiosity and embrace experimentation. We believe that simple solutions require the most sophistication, and we design each and every detail to maximize potential, power, and impact. Do our values match? Read through our story and what we value the most.

Our team values and celebrates our diverse backgrounds. Being open about who we are and what we do allows us to do the best work of our lives. We believe in equal opportunity for all, and you should too.

Come Do the Best Work of Your Life at Boulevard

Boulevard is the Client Experience Platform purpose-built for appointment-based, self-care businesses. As we move upmarket, support complex franchise brands, and expand internationally, our platform must scale with flexibility, reliability, and intelligence at its core.

The Commerce & Fintech teams build the tools that drive revenue and financial trust for our customers. Including payments, checkout, memberships, packages, gift cards, banking integrations, payment rails, and financial data products. As a Senior Product Designer, you will own high-impact product areas that directly shape how businesses earn, manage, move, and grow revenue. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to ship experiences that are clear, reliable, and built to scale. Balancing the demands of financial accuracy, regulatory requirements, and everyday usability.

This is a high-impact role for a designer who thinks in systems, cares deeply about craft, and wants to drive measurable business outcomes.

What You’ll Do
  • Translate complex financial and operational requirements into simple, intuitive user experiences. Ensure clarity, accuracy, and trust in every flow.
  • Use AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT in your design workflow to explore edge cases, pressure-test logic, and prototype flows.
  • Validate assumptions through lightweight research. Talk directly with customers, run usability tests, and iterate based on evidence.
  • Share work openly in critique and reviews. Contribute to a culture that values quality, clarity, and outcomes over artifacts.
  • Maintain a high bar for clarity, usability, visual craft, and consistency.
  • Contribute to the evolution of Boulevard’s design system by extending components and defining patterns that support the complexity of commerce.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
  • Experience designing complex, systems-heavy products, ideally in B2B, fintech, or commerce environments.
  • A track record of owning projects from problem definition through launch and measurable impact.
  • Comfort using AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT to accelerate discovery, prototyping, and iteration.
  • A portfolio that shows strong product thinking, interaction design, and craft
  • Clear communication skills and comfort collaborating directly with engineers, product, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and making progress without complete information.
  • Clear communication and comfort collaborating directly with engineers and PMs
Why This Role Matters

Commerce & Fintech are central to how Boulevard delivers value to customers. The experiences you design will directly impact revenue, retention, and trust. Not just as a commerce layer, but as a financial infrastructure that thousands of businesses rely on to get paid, manage their money, and grow. Your work sits at the intersection of software and financial services, where clarity, reliability, and user trust are non-negotiable.

How We’ll Take Care of You

At Boulevard, we work hard to structure compensation in a way that balances internal equity with local market competitiveness, and we’re happy to share a good-faith estimate of the base salary range for this role. For candidates in NYC, the SF Bay Area, and Seattle, the anticipated base salary range is $141,000 - $166,000 per year. For all other U.S. locations, the anticipated base salary range is $122,000 - $157,900 per year. In addition to this base compensation, this role may be eligible to participate in a variable compensation program. Final compensation will vary based on a variety of factors which include but are not limited to applicable experience, location, and final leveling.

In addition to the wonderful people you’ll get to work with and challenging projects that’ll push you - Boulevard is here to make sure you’re always at the top of your game emotionally, mentally, and physically.

  • ✨ We’ve got you covered with a 401(k) match plus dental, medical, vision, and life insurance.

  • 🏝 Take a break whenever you need with our flexible vacation day policy.
