The Opportunity

As Superhuman brings together Grammarly, Superhuman Docs, and Mail into a unified AI productivity suite, Growth Design plays an increasingly important role in helping customers discover, adopt, and engage with our broader ecosystem. This is an opportunity to shape how users find value across multiple products, discover new workflows, and build lasting habits throughout their customer journey.

As a Senior Product Designer, Growth, you will design and execute activation, onboarding, and early lifecycle experiences across the Superhuman suite. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Research, and Analytics to craft thoughtful experiments, define key moments of customer value, and create polished product experiences that drive adoption and engagement.

This is a highly collaborative role that calls for strong product intuition, exceptional craft, and a data-informed approach to design. You will help shape cross-product discovery experiences, explore how AI-powered capabilities can be introduced in meaningful ways, and contribute to a culture of experimentation that helps more customers realize the value of Superhuman.

In this role, you will:

  • Design impactful onboarding, activation, upgrade, and early-lifecycle experiences that help users discover features, build habits, and realize value across the Superhuman suite.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Research, and Analytics to identify growth opportunities and deliver customer-centric solutions that drive adoption, engagement, and upgrades.

  • Define and execute growth experiments that guide users toward meaningful “aha” moments, from developing hypotheses and early concepts to interactive prototypes and polished, high-fidelity designs.

  • Use qualitative and quantitative customer insights to improve feature discovery, habit formation, and early value realization, driving meaningful adoption across products.

  • Collaborate with Product Managers to shape the vision and roadmap for cross-product activation initiatives, creating cohesive experiences that help users discover and engage with Grammarly, Superhuman Docs, and Mail as a unified suite.

  • Engage stakeholders to align on onboarding, upgrade, and team growth journeys, communicating design concepts and progress to leadership to gather feedback and build alignment.

  • Create interaction patterns that balance power, simplicity, and approachability across complex workflows, advising Product and Engineering partners to resolve design challenges and accelerate delivery.

  • Collaborate with designers and product teams across Grammarly, Mail, and Coda to identify cross-product discovery opportunities, foster shared learning, and develop cohesive experiences across the suite.

  • Deliver polished, on-brand designs that balance user needs with business goals, using experimentation and emerging AI tools and workflows to improve design processes and drive measurable impact.

  • Contribute to a high-bar design culture through thoughtful critique, mentorship, and collaboration, continuously elevating design craft, quality, and brand standards across the team.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in product design, with at least 3+ years focused on growth, onboarding, activation, engagement, or lifecycle experiences. Experience with monetization and upgrade flows is a plus.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence across interaction design, visual design, prototyping, typography, layout, and systems thinking.

  • Experience designing and running product experiments that balance customer needs with business goals and measurable outcomes.

  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Research, and Analytics teams.

  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design rationale, strategy, and tradeoffs.

  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, bring clarity to complex problems, and adapt quickly as new insights emerge.

  • Deep empathy for users and a strong understanding of customer behavior, motivation, and emotional experience.

  • Self-directed and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and move quickly in fast-paced environments.

  • Enthusiasm for AI-native products and workflows, with curiosity about how AI can improve both customer experiences and team productivity.
