About the team + role

We are building an elite team, applying frontier technologies to the world’s biggest financial problems. We’re looking for bold thinkers, problem-solvers, and builders who are wired to make an impact. Robinhood isn’t a place for complacency, it’s where ambitious people do the best work of their careers. We’re a high-performing, fast-moving team with ethics at the center of everything we do. Expectations are high, and so are the rewards.

The Prediction Markets team is building a new asset class that enables customers to engage with real-world events in dynamic and meaningful ways. This team operates at the forefront of product development, partnering closely with engineering, product, and operations to launch new experiences across multiple verticals. As a design leader on this team, you'll set the creative and strategic direction for how users interact with fast-evolving markets — shaping one of the fastest-growing and most strategic areas of the business.

As a Staff Product Designer, you will define the design vision and strategy for Prediction Markets, leading end-to-end execution across trading, engagement, and platform expansion. You'll drive the highest-leverage design work yourself while raising the quality bar across the broader team. This role demands strong design craft, organizational influence, and the ability to shape product direction at the executive level. You'll own ambiguous, complex problem spaces and be a key voice in how Robinhood builds a category-defining product.

This role is based in our New York, NY and Menlo Park, CA offices, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

At Robinhood, we believe in the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community. Our office experience is intentional, energizing, and designed to fully support high-performing teams.

What you'll do
  • Define and drive the design vision and strategy for Prediction Markets, spanning trading flows, engagement features, and web platform expansion
  • Own the most complex, ambiguous, and high-stakes design problems end-to-end — from early framing through final delivery
  • Influence product direction and roadmap by partnering directly with senior PMs, engineering leads, and operations leaders
  • Establish design quality standards and frameworks that scale across the team and elevate the craft of every designer working in this space
  • Synthesize business strategy, user research, and market signals into design decisions with measurable outcomes
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership and drive alignment across cross-functional stakeholders
What you bring
  • 8+ years of product design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating exceptional craft across complex, high-scale consumer or fintech products
  • Proven track record of leading 0→1 product initiatives and shaping new product categories — not just executing within defined scope
  • Ability to operate at multiple altitudes: equally comfortable setting strategy and getting into the details of interaction and visual design
  • Strong point of view on product direction with the communication skills to bring leadership, PMs, and engineers along
  • Experience influencing without authority across large, cross-functional organizations
  • Deep proficiency in Figma and a forward-leaning approach to AI-augmented design workflows
What we offer
  • Challenging, high-impact work to grow your career.
  • Performance-driven compensation with multipliers for outsized impact, bonus programs, equity ownership, and 401(k) matching.
  • Best-in-class benefits to fuel your work, including 100% paid health insurance for employees with 90% coverage for dependents.
  • Lifestyle wallet — a highly flexible benefits spending account for wellness, learning, and more.
  • Employer-paid life & disability insurance, fertility benefits, and mental health benefits.
  • Time off to recharge including company holidays, paid time off, sick time, parental leave, and more!
  • Exceptional office experience with catered meals, events, and comfortable workspaces.

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands.
