The Impact of Senior Product Manager, Coupa AI
As the Senior Product Manager for AI Products, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of Coupa’s next-generation AI capabilities. You will help bring to life Coupa’s vision for Agentic AI — autonomous, intelligent agents that drive business decisions, automate workflows, and deliver continuous value across procurement, finance, and supply chain.
What You'll Do:
- This is a high-impact role at the intersection of product innovation, AI/ML strategy, and enterprise workflow transformation. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, data science, design, and go-to-market teams to turn customer needs and AI advancements into tangible product
- Own product management responsibilities for AI-driven platform capabilities, with a focus on designing and launching autonomous AI agents that automate complex enterprise workflows
- Partner closely with UX research and design teams to craft intuitive, trustworthy, and action-oriented agentic AI experiences that seamlessly blend human guidance with autonomous execution
- Translate advances in LLMs, multi-agent systems, RAG, MCP, and agent orchestration frameworks into scalable product capabilities that deliver measurable productivity and automation gains
- Collaborate with data science, ML engineering, and platform teams to design and build robust AI agent orchestration, workflow automation, and tool integration capabilities
- Define product requirements for AI agents, copilots, and autonomous workflows, including reasoning, planning, tool usage, and multi-step task execution
- Design and refine AI-native user experiences including conversational interfaces, copilot workflows, and human-in-the-loop oversight patterns
- Conduct user research and analyze feedback to continuously improve agent behavior, decision transparency, response quality, and workflow completion
- Define and monitor success metrics such as agent task completion rates, model accuracy, workflow automation impact, user engagement, and trust signals
- Work closely with cross-functional partners across engineering, GTM, customer success, and product marketing to ensure successful launch, adoption, and scaling of AI capabilities
- Advocate internally and externally for agentic AI platforms and intelligent automation, helping teams and customers understand emerging AI technologies and their practical value
- Lead products through the full lifecycle — from concept and experimentation to production scale and long-term platform evolution
- Prioritize ruthlessly across competing initiatives to focus teams on high-impact AI capabilities and customer outcomes
What You Will Bring to Coupa:
- 5+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years building AI-powered products and 2+ years launching AI agents, autonomous workflows, or AI copilots
- Strong understanding of LLMs, agentic AI architectures, multi-agent orchestration, MCP/tool usage frameworks, and RAG-based systems
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex AI capabilities into intuitive product experiences and actionable product requirements
- Experience partnering closely with data science, ML engineering, and UX teams to deliver AI-powered features in production environments
- Strong product intuition with the ability to identify high-value AI automation opportunities and prioritize capabilities that drive measurable impact
- Experience driving go-to-market activities including pricing strategy, packaging of AI capabilities, sales enablement, and customer advocacy in partnership with product marketing, sales, and customer success teams
- Curiosity and adaptability to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving AI ecosystem, continuously learning about new models, agent frameworks, and emerging standards like A2A and MCP
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills to align teams and clearly articulate AI product vision and value to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working in agile environments, building MVPs, running experiments, and iterating quickly on AI features
- An entrepreneurial mindset combined with a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude to solving complex problems
- Experience working cross-functionally in SaaS organizations, leveraging data and insights to inform product decisions
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority and drive alignment across complex initiatives
- Preferred experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or spend management domains, including familiarity with Source-to-Pay (S2P), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Request-to-Order (R2O), or supplier management workflows
