We are creating an elite portfolio of software-defined vehicles by tightly integrating software, hardware, and services to create complete and compelling vehicle experiences for our customers.
Join us in shaping these core software experiences.
The Role
As Senior Product Manager, 3P Ecosystem, Occupant Experience, you will define and deliver custom GM infotainment app experiences in partnership with leading third-party companies. You will sit at the center of product vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution for a growing portfolio of in-vehicle app experiences spanning categories such as entertainment, streaming audio, video, and productivity.
You will work cross-functionally across engineering, design, QA, PMO, business development, and partner teams to bring new experiences to market and continuously improve them over time. This role requires strong product judgment, comfort operating in ambiguity, and the ability to align diverse stakeholders around a clear product direction.
You will help shape how third-party apps should come to life in a GM vehicle by understanding both evolving customer expectations and the unique capabilities of the car itself. The goal is not simply to bring more apps into the vehicle, but to define experiences that feel thoughtfully designed for the in-vehicle context and meaningfully better for customers.
This is an exciting opportunity for a product manager who enjoys pairing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery: someone who can define a compelling vision, translate it into a roadmap, influence across organizational boundaries, and help build a stronger long-term 3P ecosystem for GM.
What You'll Do
• Drive and own the execution for custom GM third-party app experiences, leading assigned initiatives from concept through launch and post-launch iteration
• Define product vision & strategy, requirements, and roadmap for a growing portfolio of in-vehicle app experiences across categories such as entertainment, streaming audio, video, and productivity
• Partner cross-functionally with engineering, design, QA, PMO, business development, and external partners to align stakeholders, navigate complexity, and deliver high-quality launches
• Collaborate with peer product teams to understand the vehicle's hardware, software, and contextual capabilities, and shape app experiences that feel natively right for the in-vehicle environment
• Use engagement data, customer research, competitive understanding, and technical product judgment to evaluate performance, identify what is working, and inform what GM should pursue next
• Communicate priorities, tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations clearly, while influencing adjacent teams and partner decisions to strengthen the long-term 3P ecosystem
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
• 5+ years of product management experience delivering digital or software-enabled products
• Experience leading cross-functional execution across engineering and business stakeholders
• Experience working with external partners, platforms, or ecosystem-like product spaces
• Ability to define product direction, translate complex constraints into clear decisions, and balance near-term execution with longer-term roadmap needs
• Strong written communication skills, including product narratives, requirements, and partner-facing materials
• Comfort using data, customer insight, and market understanding to inform prioritization and iteration
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
• Experience in automotive, infotainment, Android-based platforms, or connected devices
• Strong, tangible track record of leading or significantly contributing to major consumer-facing product launches
• Experience with third-party app ecosystems, particularly app distribution, certification, release management, or launch processes for customer-facing software products
• Seasoned experience communicating, reporting, and pitching to executive leadership
• MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field
