About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager (EVV) to join our Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) product line. Reporting to the Director, Product Management, you will own the EVV product roadmap across US state programs, manages the lifecycle of state aggregator integrations (including HHAeXchange and Sandata), and is accountable for ensuring AlayaCare's homecare agency customers remain EVV-compliant across every state in which they operate.

The role requires a rare combination of regulatory domain expertise, technical fluency in data exchange and API integrations, and the ability to manage complex, cross-functional programs with hard compliance deadlines. Senior Product Managers in this role consistently demonstrate curiosity and passion for both their customers, homecare agencies navigating evolving Medicaid mandates and the product process itself, while coaching more junior team members.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the strategic vision and product lifecycle of AlayaCare's EVV product line, including gathering and prioritizing requirements across US state aggregator integrations, defining the EVV roadmap, and working closely with Engineering, Client Success, Legal, and Sales to ensure customer compliance and revenue goals are met.
  • Be accountable for the success of the product; balance competing priorities, manage stakeholder expectations, and drive innovation while also delivering a product that meets customer needs and aligns with the company's business goals.
  • Deeply understand the US EVV regulatory landscape and competitive environment; monitor evolving state Medicaid EVV mandates, 21st Century Cures Act implementation timelines, and aggregator specification updates (Sandata, HHAeXchange, and others) to proactively identify compliance gaps and expansion opportunities.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to define business plans, perform segmentation, targeting, user profiles, market opportunity assessments, cost and pricing analysis, positioning, go-to-market strategy, success evaluation, and integration plans.
  • Gather product data, including web analytics, statistics, and consumer trends.
  • Determine feature requirements.
  • Research customer experiences and demands and work to improve customer experiences.
  • Outline a detailed and visible product strategy.
  • Define KPIs for EVV features, including aggregator submission rates, visit rejection rates, bypass/exception frequency, and state certification cycle times and drive continuous improvement against these metrics.
  • Influence senior stakeholders and executives on specific (mastered) topics.
  • Act as the point person for Product Management with clients, partners, and within the company.
  • Proactively identify problems and suggest solutions.
  • Lead the core positioning, pricing strategy and messaging for the product.
  • Deliver product trainingand demos when required.
  • Mentor and have opportunities to formally lead and coach Associate PMs and Product Managers
  • Handle and address any escalated concerns, issues or requirements that are complex in nature.
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on EVV regulations, aggregator protocols (SFTP, REST/JSON), submission formats, and certification requirements, acting as the primary escalation point for compliance-related questions from Client Success, Sales, and Engineering.
  • Involved in setting and executing the product strategy, making tough decisions, and influencing senior leaders.
What You Bring to the Team
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, Business Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 4-6+ years of hands-on experience with product management with strong experience in Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) product line
  • Technical background with experience in software development or web technologies.
  • Proficiency in compiling project status, risk management, and reports.
  • Excellent attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a changing environment with a growth mindset and bias for action.
  • Ability to work effectively with developers, QA, UX, Technical Support, and Sales as a strong team player.
  • Strong skills at gathering and interpreting qualitative product data and consumer feedback.
  • Ability to analyze industry trends and competitor behavior.
  • Able to quickly identify improved product features and contribute to marketing strategies.
  • Ability to maintain strong customer relations and provide product support.
  • Competency in training internal departments on new product features.
  • Experience in home health, homecare, or personal care services is required.
  • Direct experience with US Medicaid EVV programs and/or the 21st Century Cures Act (Section 12006) is strongly preferred.

Location and Work Model

If this role is based in Montreal. At AlayaCare, our hybrid model includes 2 set in-office collaboration days/week, and it is expected that team members are present in the office on those days to foster connection, innovation, and teamwork.
