We're on a mission to build the best platform in the world for engineers to understand and scale their systems, applications, and teams. We operate at high scale—trillions of data points per day—allowing for seamless collaboration and problem-solving among Dev, Ops and Security teams globally for tens of thousands of companies. Our engineering culture values pragmatism, honesty, and simplicity to solve hard problems the right way.

The Team:

Logs are critical to ensuring the availability, security/compliance and performance of modern applications, but as log volumes grow exponentially year over year, realizing value from the mountain of data becomes increasingly difficult and expensive. Datadog’s Log Management is a next generation, AI-first log warehousing and analytics product, committed to giving our customers the fastest, most-flexible, and easy to use log exploration experience - from event generation to query - while helping them maintain a healthy budget even as their log volumes are exploding with rise in AI focused development.

The Opportunity:

The Senior PM - Flex Logs role is responsible for defining and bringing to market the next generation of log retention and access capabilities on top of our modern Third-Generation Event Store in an AI-first environment. This role is highly technical and creative in nature as you will envision novel ways to enable customers to cost-effectively explore, analyze and report over petabytes of data through a welcoming and easy-to-use interface. You will partner with various teams to take advantage of BitsAI capabilities and surface critical insights on volume usage and retention for popular use cases.

At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

What You’ll Do:

  • Define the vision, strategy, and product roadmap for Flex Logs and make it immediately valuable to customers in an AI-first environment
  • Gather insights from customers, partners, and internal data to become an expert on how customers want to store, analyze, and report on data for long term needs
  • Work closely with Datadog’s Platform, BitsAI, and SIEM teams to identify opportunities and build capabilities for dynamic data tiering strategies
  • Collaborate with Engineering to surface insights and utilization metrics for Flex Logs to help customers make better decisions on their Flex Storage and Compute usage
  • Recommend and launch new offerings with Flex Logs based on use cases for Security and Compliance
  • Partner with Marketing and other GTM teams to generate awareness and drive adoption of Datadog’s Flex Logs offering
  • Guide Product Solution Architects to write blogs and how-to guides on getting started with Flex Logs for specific use cases and industry verticals

Who You Are:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS Product Management
  • At least 2+ years of experience with databases, data warehouses, SQL concepts & language, BI products, and/or distributed systems
  • Hands on experience using multiple services from one or more of the major cloud providers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Demonstrated track record of shipping successful data reporting and data workflow product offerings in the cloud
  • Prior experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Splunk, or ClickHouse is a strong plus

Datadog values people from all walks of life. We know not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That’s okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your experience, we encourage you to apply.
