One-Stop-Shop Financial Security.
At SoFi, our mission is to help our members achieve financial independence. Life insurance is a critical, yet often neglected, piece of that puzzle. We want to do more than protect our member’s hard earned money by "selling insurance"; we want to leverage our Member’s financial needs to provide instant, pre-approved protection to our 11M+ members based on their existing financial profiles.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will lead the "SoFi Protect - Life Insurance" roadmap, integrating life insurance deeply into our lending and banking ecosystems to create a seamless, high-conversion experience.
What You’ll Do:- Product Experience Master: Own the end-to-end "Quote-to-Purchase" Life Insurance journey and connect this benefit to the holistic SoFi “get your money right” mission.
- Application UX: Work with data scientists to determine how to streamline the application experience. If we can get a data point from a third-party API (like MVR or Rx history) instead of asking the user, you make that happen.
- Rapid Experimentation: Run a high-velocity testing roadmap. You’ll test everything from "Life Milestones" UI components to different sequencing of application questions to drive the highest completion rate.
- Third-Party Orchestration: Manage the technical and business relationships with our carrier partners, to ensure that our API integrations are robust, low-latency, and highly scalable.
- Product-Led Growth (PLG): Build "viral loops" and referral mechanics. How do we drive awareness and adoption through the financial services productivity loop?
- Mobile-First, AI-First Innovation: Optimize the experience for mobile devices and leveraging AI to make the experience easier for members (e.g. ensure our document collection / verification experience is easy and best-in-class).
- Experience: 5 - 8 years in Product Management, with at least 4 years in a high-growth InsurTech or FinTech environment.
- Data & AI Fluency: Expert-level ability to use data (SQL, Snowflake, Amplitude) to identify drop-off points in the funnel and build personalized member journeys. Leverage AI tooling for prototyping
- Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with FINRA, SEC, and State Insurance Department regulations. You know how to innovate while staying "inside the lines."
- The "SoFi Way": A "Get It Done" attitude. You are comfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift based on market opportunities.
