We’re Underdog.

The fastest-growing sports gaming company, ever. We’re here to make sports more fun. We pair intuitive user experiences with innovative game designs to build the best experience for sports fans in America.

Since 2020, we’ve launched four of today’s most widely played fantasy games, and built the Underdog Sportsbook entirely in-house with our own tech. We move fast, act with urgency, and create experiences you won’t find anywhere else.

With a $1.2 billion valuation and backing from investors like BlackRock, Spark Capital, SV Angel, Mark Cuban, Kevin Durant, Adam Schefter, and more, we’re just getting started.

At Underdog, we play and win as a team. We take chances and are unafraid to attack hard problems. We face challenges with ambition and optimism. We play for the love of the game.

We’re Underdog. And winning as an Underdog is just more fun.

Join us.

About the role and why it’s unique:
  • Own a high-impact, high-visibility role on the Promotions team that shapes how we retain and grow our user base — directly influencing core engagement, monetization, and business outcomes.
  • Build products and systems that help us deliver personalized, timely, and relevant experiences to users throughout their lifecycle, across platforms and channels.
  • Work closely with marketing, engineering, data, and promo operations to design and improve how we activate, engage, and retain users — with MarTech and promotions as a means, not the end.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to drive retention and growth through better targeting, messaging, promotions, and automation — powered by both in-house and third-party tools.
  • Develop and maintain a clear product strategy for the full software lifecycle, driving initiatives from ideation to launch to iteration.
  • Write clear user stories and product requirements for both in-house tools (e.g., campaign builders, user segmentation) and integrations with third-party platforms (e.g., Braze, Branch).
  • Set and monitor success metrics related to retention, engagement, and promotional ROI, and use those insights to iterate and improve.
  • Lead agile ceremonies (stand-ups, grooming, planning, retros) with your development team to ship quickly and learn often.
  • Be a connective force across teams, creating alignment and processes that bring together product, marketing, data science, and engineering.
Who you are:
  • 5+ years of product management experience, with experience in retention, growth, lifecycle, CRM, or MarTech domains.
  • Proven ability to drive outcomes in fast-moving, cross-functional environments where inputs are diverse and priorities shift fast.
  • Deep understanding of how to influence user behavior through product, messaging, and incentives — and how to measure what works.
  • Experience designing or improving tools that support segmentation, targeting, campaign execution, or A/B testing.
  • Strong analytical and experimentation mindset — you form hypotheses, test them, and let data guide your decisions.
  • Comfortable balancing short-term impact and long-term product health, and can communicate trade-offs clearly.
  • Able to synthesize complex stakeholder needs into clear, actionable product plans.
  • Committed to fostering a culture of inclusion, empathy, and high performance within your team.
Even better if you have…
  • Experience in MarTech, growth, CRM, or a related domain.
  • Experience in the Sports Gaming industry, Daily Fantasy or Online Sports Betting
  • Experience with MarTech tools such as Optimove, Braze, Branch, Lifecycle Segmentation tools, CRM and messaging platforms
  • Experience working within a regulated industry
  • Experience making build vs. buy decisions of third party vendors

Our target starting base salary range for this position is between $160,000 and $190,000, plus target equity. The starting base salary will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s skills and experience, among other things.

What we can offer you:
  • Unlimited PTO (we're extremely flexible with the exception of the first few weeks before & into the NFL season)
  • 16 weeks of fully paid parental leave
  • A $500 home office allowance
  • A connected virtual first culture with a highly engaged distributed workforce
  • 5% 401k match, FSA, company paid health, dental, vision plan options for employees and dependents
