Senior Product Manager (SAAS) – Job description

About DecisionNext

DecisionNext’s proprietary SaaS technology combines sophisticated AI with expert human judgment to significantly outperform traditional approaches to commodity transaction decision-making. Our scenario-based system — already integrated at numerous Fortune 500 companies — is delivered as an intuitive SaaS platform that blends econometric models, Monte Carlo simulation, optimization techniques, and extensive automated back-testing in a single application.

We are in a steep growth phase, working across food, agriculture, and natural resources industries, helping executives and procurement teams make better decisions that move millions of dollars. Our culture rewards those who are smart, curious, customer-obsessed, and productively irreverent.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy, priorities, and development of our SaaS product portfolio. This role requires a customer-obsessed, data-driven leader who thrives on complexity and can translate business needs into valuable, scalable solutions.

You will bridge quantitative models and executive decision-making, working with Data Science, Engineering, and Customer teams to deliver products that enable our customers to act with confidence. The ideal candidate has deep experience in SaaS, a proven record of launching successful products, and the ability to influence at all levels, from developers to the C-suite.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy and Vision

● Vision & Roadmap – Define and execute a product vision aligned with company goals and market opportunities. Own the roadmap, balancing research, customer feedback, and business priorities.

● Industry Context – Stay at the forefront of procurement, commodity, and SaaS market trends. Ensure DecisionNext remains differentiated with cutting-edge features and usability.

● Metrics & Outcomes – Define OKRs and track impact across adoption, retention, and customer ROI.

● Think Big – Reimagine processes and unlock transformative opportunities for our customers.

2. Product Discovery and Development

● Research – Drive deep discovery: interviews, surveys, usability testing, pilots. Translate findings into actionable product insights.

● Translate & Execute – Convert strategy into detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

● Collaborate – Partner with Data Science (econometric modeling, Monte Carlo, optimization) and Engineering to ensure delivery of scalable, high-performance features.

● Analyze – Continuously monitor product usage, back-testing, and customer workflows to drive iteration.

● Deliver Results with Attention to Detail – Get the details right, ensuring usability and precision in every release.

3. Cross-Functional Leadership

● Evangelize – Clearly communicate product vision, value, and roadmap to customers, executives, and internal stakeholders.

● Partner – Work hand-in-hand with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to enable effective go-to-market strategies and support adoption at scale.

● Prioritize – Balance competing demands and build alignment around the most impactful initiatives.

● Own It – Act on behalf of the company, not just your product scope.

4. Mentorship and Process Improvement

● Mentor – Guide junior members of the Engineering team and contribute to a culture of curiosity, accountability, and growth.

● Improve – Champion customer-centric product practices, agility, and experimentation.

● Take Action, Make Mistakes, and Learn – Build an environment where iteration and learning drive progress.

Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree required; MBA a plus.

● 5+ years of product management experience, with a significant focus in SaaS environments.

● Proven success launching and managing SaaS products end-to-end.

● Strong strategic and analytical skills; a data-driven decision maker.

● Excellent leadership, storytelling, and interpersonal skills; capable of influencing senior executives.

● Experience with agile methodologies and product management tools.

● Technical fluency to engage deeply with engineers and data scientists.

● Experience in procurement, supply chain, or commodities highly desirable.

● Embody DecisionNext’s Leadership Principles: Customer Obsession, Drive Don’t Ride, Invent & Simplify, Stay Curious, Have Backbone & Commit, and Have a Great Attitude.

Why Join Us

● Work on a platform that blends AI, econometrics, Monte Carlo simulation, and optimization into intuitive decision support.

● Help global enterprises make high-value decisions that move billions of dollars.

● Join a high-growth SaaS company where ownership, curiosity, and resilience define success.

● Competitive compensation, equity participation, and professional growth opportunities.

● A culture that rewards customer obsession and innovation.
