About Us

GridCARE is a leading venture-backed startup solving the most critical constraint in AI's growth trajectory: immediate access to power. As demand for computing skyrockets, access to energy has become the defining bottleneck in the AI infrastructure race. While leading tech companies invest billions in speculative, long-term solutions that may take decades to arrive, GridCARE's pioneering physics-based generative AI platform unlocks gigawatts of hidden capacity in today's electric grid — enabling hyperscalers, data center developers, and utilities to power AI infrastructure years sooner than conventional approaches and without costly upgrades.

Founded at Stanford's Doerr School of Sustainability and backed by leading climate-tech and deep-tech investors, GridCARE has assembled a world-class team spanning power systems, AI, and infrastructure.

At GridCARE, you will:

  • Work at the intersection of AI, energy, and infrastructure — the foundation of the next industrial revolution.

  • Partner with hyperscalers, developers, and utilities on high-impact, real-world deployments.

  • Help shape a more abundant, efficient, and resilient energy future for the digital era.

  • Join a company defining a new category — capacity acceleration for AI.

  • Receive competitive compensation, equity, and benefits in a fast-growth, mission-driven environment.

Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Product Manager to drive the development of GridCARE's AI-powered product suite. Reporting to the Head of Product, you will own key product areas end-to-end — from discovery and definition through prototyping, delivery, and iteration — working at the intersection of energy systems and agentic AI.

This is a hands-on, building-focused role. You will work alongside engineering to build and ship product-native AI agents — prototyping yourself, not only writing specifications — while running several product workstreams in parallel, operating with a high degree of autonomy, and communicating clearly with engineers, leadership, and external partners. We are looking for a product leader who is energised by building in an AI-first product environment.

ResponsibilitiesBuilding AI Products
  • Build prototypes alongside engineering — working directly in the agent-building tools, not only writing specs.

  • Lead the design and development of product-native AI agents from prototype to production — defining agent behaviour, evaluating outputs, and iterating on the agentic systems that ship inside the product.

  • Use AI tools daily across your own workflow — research, spec-writing, prototyping, evaluation, and analysis.

  • Take an internal-grade tool to product quality — hardening UX, reliability, and scalability for external customers.

Program Management Across Multiple Workstreams
  • Own at least three distinct product projects concurrently, each with clearly defined milestones, dependencies, and delivery timelines.

  • Build and maintain prioritized roadmaps balancing near-term customer needs with long-term platform scalability.

  • Drive cross-functional sprint planning and execution across engineering, data science, and subject-matter experts.

  • Define success metrics and OKRs; monitor product performance and synthesize learnings to inform future development.

Partner & Stakeholder Communication
  • Engage directly with external partners — utilities, data center customers, hyperscalers, and government/public-sector bodies — on high-visibility projects, representing GridCARE with clarity and credibility.

  • Drive requirements gathering, milestone tracking, and preparation of external presentations and briefings.

  • Translate technical inputs from power systems engineers into actionable product requirements and engineering briefs.

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, ops, and strategy to align product direction with go-to-market needs.

Autonomous Ownership
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy — set direction, unblock yourself, and make sound decisions amid ambiguity.

  • Own the full product lifecycle: PRD authorship, hands-on prototyping, sprint execution, launch, and post-launch iteration.

QualificationsMust Have
  • Hands-on experience building AI agents — you have personally built AI agents (writing code, wiring tools and models together, or iterating working prototypes), not only used them.

  • A hands-on builder who prototypes alongside engineering and ships working software, taking AI agents from prototype to production.

  • Fluent, daily use of AI tools across your workflow (research, specs, prototyping, analysis), and genuine enthusiasm for an AI-first product environment.

  • Program management of multiple concurrent workstreams — at least three distinct projects in parallel, each with its own milestones.

  • Excellent communication, including direct interaction with external partners — clear and credible with engineering, leadership, and customer- and partner-facing audiences.

  • Ability to work with little guidance in an ambiguous, fast-moving startup environment.

  • 5+ years of product management experience, including roadmapping, prioritization, and requirements ownership.

Nice to Have
  • Mission-driven enthusiasm for the energy transition is a plus.

  • Energy industry or power markets background is a bonus.

  • Experience working with grants or public-sector bodies is a plus.

  • Familiarity with SCRUM best practices, Jira, or Linear is nice to have.

  • An engineering background (EE, CS, or related), or equivalent technical depth through work experience, is a bonus.

What We Offer
  • Competitive salary, performance bonus, and equity.

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.

  • Lunch is provided when in the office.

  • Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office for collaboration, 2 days remote for focused work.

  • Access to leading academic, industry, and government partners in the AI-energy ecosystem.

  • A mission-driven team focused on shaping the future of the energy transition.

Join us in tackling one of the most important infrastructure challenges of our time — enabling the energy foundation for the age of AI.
