Job Description

About the role

This role is for a builder. Not someone who briefs builders, not someone who reviews builds. Someone who opens the IDE, writes the code, wires up the model, and ships the demo.

We're hiring a Senior Product Marketing Manager to represent the professional developer (pro dev) experience and the AI story that runs through it. Our most credible audience is also our toughest one: developers can tell in ten seconds whether the person on stage has actually built the thing. You will have built the thing.

You'll create demos that show what a real developer can do on the platform, especially with AI in the loop: agents, model integration, code generation, and the workflows that emerge when those pieces come together. You'll also own the data and analytics story, including Workflow Data Fabric, because AI is only as good as the data underneath it and developers know that better than anyone.

What you'll do

  • Build like a developer. Write the code. Use the APIs, SDKs, and CLIs the way a customer would. Hit the same friction they hit and turn that into both a better demo and better product feedback.
  • Own the AI narrative. Build and tell the story of AI on the platform: agentic workflows, model integration, AI assisted development, and the practical outcomes developers actually care about.
  • Own data and analytics. Take the data and analytics story, including Workflow Data Fabric, from concept to demo to reusable asset. Show how data grounds the AI and powers the workflow.
  • Deliver the moment. Drive developer facing demos for keynotes, launches, developer events, and roadshows. Scope early, build against hard dates, rehearse until it's clean.
  • Scale it. Turn each demo into evergreen assets: reference implementations, sample repos, recorded walkthroughs, and enablement content that developers and the field can pick up on their own.
  • Speak to developers as one of them. Present on stage, on camera, and in technical forums with the credibility that only comes from having built it yourself.
  • Partner across the org. Work with Product, Engineering, Developer Relations, PMM, and creative teams to align on message, sequence, and what's genuinely shippable by the date.

Qualifications

What you bring

  • 6+ years spanning software development and technical marketing, developer relations, solution engineering, or product marketing. Time as an actual engineer is strongly preferred.
  • Real coding ability. You are fluent in at least one modern language and comfortable in APIs, SDKs, Git, and the command line. You can build a working prototype without help.
  • Hands on experience with AI development: LLM APIs, agent frameworks, prompt engineering, RAG, evals, or AI assisted coding tools. You've shipped something with them, not just read about them.
  • Working knowledge of data and analytics: data integration, virtualization, pipelines, and reporting. Willingness to go deep on Workflow Data Fabric.
  • Strong storytelling instincts. You can take a genuinely technical build and make it land for developers without dumbing it down, and for executives without losing them.
  • Experience delivering under event pressure and shipping against an immovable date.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, on stage and on the page.
  • Comfort with ambiguity. You drive clarity rather than wait for it.

Nice to have

  • ServiceNow platform experience, or experience on a comparable enterprise platform's developer program.
  • Open source contributions, a public portfolio, or a technical blog / channel.
  • Prior experience on a demo, evangelism, or developer advocacy team.
  • Video production or design sensibility.

Why this role

You'll be the developer voice in the room and the person who proves the platform works by building on it in public. High visibility, real creative latitude, and the rare marketing role where writing code is the job, not a hobby.
