As part of the Copilot Adoption & Growth team, you'll join a pioneering team helping organizations transform and adopt AI in their organizations. Our mission is to accelerate customer value realization by helping enterprises move beyond experimentation and successfully scale AI adoption across people, processes, and business functions.

We are seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager, Industry AI Adoption to develop and execute Microsoft's AI adoption strategy across priority industries. This role sits at the intersection of customer insight, industry transformation, adoption strategy, and execution.

You will identify high-value industry scenarios, build adoption frameworks and playbooks, create industry-specific guidance and customer evidence, and partner across Product, Marketing, Field, Customer Success, and Industry teams to drive measurable adoption outcomes. This role requires both strategic thinking and strong execution. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable building long-term strategies and rolling up their sleeves to create assets, launch programs, test adoption motions, and deliver customer-facing guidance.

Responsibilities

Industry Adoption Strategy & Planning

  • Define and evolve Microsoft’s AI adoption strategy across priority industries and business functions.
  • Identify industry-specific transformation opportunities, adoption barriers, customer needs, and value realization opportunities.
  • Develop industry segmentation, AI maturity models, adoption journeys, and opportunity assessments that inform business priorities.
  • Establish industry priorities based on market opportunity, customer demand, usage signals, and strategic business goals.

Industry Content, Playbooks & Guidance

  • Create and maintain industry-specific adoption frameworks, implementation guidance, and best-practice playbooks.
  • Develop practical customer resources including adoption guides, use case collections, workflow scenarios, executive communication assets, and value realization frameworks.
  • Translate complex AI capabilities into actionable guidance that helps customers accelerate adoption and business outcomes.
  • Ensure industry guidance remains current through ongoing customer feedback, market developments, and product innovation.

Customer Insight & Evidence Development

  • Synthesize customer research, telemetry, field insights, customer conversations, and industry trends to identify adoption opportunities.
  • Build and scale industry-specific customer evidence, transformation stories, benchmarks, and ROI narratives.
  • Define repeatable approaches for capturing customer success and translating insights into scalable assets and recommendations.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer and industry across product, adoption, and go-to-market discussions.

Execution of Adoption Programs

  • Lead execution of strategic adoption initiatives across priority industries.
  • Develop and launch industry-specific adoption campaigns, pilots, guidance packages, workshops, and enablement programs.
  • Partner with agencies, vendors, and cross-functional teams to produce high-quality customer-facing deliverables.
  • Experiment with new adoption approaches and continuously improve programs based on performance data and customer feedback.
  • Drive projects from concept through execution, measurement, and optimization.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence

  • Build strong partnerships across Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Industry Solutions, Marketing, Learning, Research, and Field organizations.
  • Drive alignment around industry priorities, customer needs, and adoption opportunities.
  • Influence product and go-to-market decisions through customer insight and industry expertise.
  • Create clarity and momentum across highly matrixed teams.

Business Impact & Measurement

  • Establish success metrics and measurement frameworks for industry adoption programs.
  • Use data to evaluate adoption effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Connect industry programs to customer outcomes, product usage, engagement, and business impact.
  • Continuously optimize investments based on performance and learning.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
  • Master's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.
Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience developing and executing industry, solution, adoption, or transformation strategies.
  • Experience owning programs from strategy definition through execution and measurement.
  • Strong customer research, segmentation, market analysis, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience creating customer guidance, frameworks, enablement assets, or adoption playbooks.
  • Familiarity with enterprise AI adoption challenges including governance, change management, skilling, user engagement, and value realization.
  • Experience working with industries such as Financial Services, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Retail, Public Sector, Energy, or Telecommunications.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and executive communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence across organizations and drive outcomes without direct authority.



Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
