Lead the deliver

Responsibilities:

Lead the delivery of complex transportation planning, traffic engineering, and transportation infrastructure projects; Serve as a senior technical lead for transportation planning and traffic engineering projects, providing technical guidance and oversight; Apply engineering judgment to support project delivery tasks, including evaluation of alternatives and resolution of technical issues; Interpret and analyze engineering data and technical analyses in support of project decisions and recommendations; Lead engineering review of traffic control and staging plans to ensure safety, accessibility, constructability, and compliance with applicable standards; Conduct on-site review and verification of work performed by subconsultants, as required to support project delivery; Perform engineering analyses and quantity takeoffs to support the development of construction cost estimates and bid documents; Conduct multidisciplinary engineering coordination reviews, including coordination with roadway, structures, rail interfaces, and transit system elements; Ensure compliance with applicable design standards, technical specifications, and permitting requirements through preparation, review, and quality control of engineering documentation; Manage and monitor project financial performance, including review and management of project financial data within a project financial management system or comparable environment; Support business development activities, including positioning for new work and preparation of technical content in support of proposals. Telecommuting permitted up to 40%.


Requirements:

Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Civil Engineering or related field and seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or in a Senior Project Engineer-related occupation. Position requires demonstrable experience with the following in a consulting Design and/or Design-Build project environment: Leading the delivery of planning and engineering projects within the transportation market; Experience managing multidisciplinary transportation engineering teams, including coordination across roadway, traffic, drainage, structures, and environmental disciplines; Experience coordinating with public-sector agencies and stakeholders, including state departments of transportation (e.g., Caltrans), utility owners, and external stakeholders throughout planning, design, and delivery phases; Experience interpreting and analyzing engineering data and communicating findings to project teams and clients; Experience preparing, reviewing, and delivering technical reports, memoranda, and design submittals in accordance with applicable standards and guidelines; Experience supporting procurement activities, contract administration, and coordination with subconsultants; Experience interpreting, managing, and presenting project financial data within a project financial management system or comparable environment; Demonstrable expertise in project management and in the use and interrogation of scheduling platforms, including MS Project; Experience supporting quality assurance and quality control processes, including internal technical reviews and resolution of review comments. Telecommuting permitted up to 40%.

 Salary Range: $134,659 – $194,659 per year
