If you have a passion for improving the developer experience, building world-class open-source software and communities, and want to be a part of our amazing team, we'd love to hear from you!
Summary

We are looking for a collaborative and motivated Senior Recruiter to join Temporal. You’ll be stepping into a high-impact position during a pivotal stage of our growth, with direct visibility across executive leadership, hiring managers, and key business initiatives. In this role, you will play a key role in identifying and attracting exceptional talent across engineering, go-to-market, and general operations functions. Working closely with hiring managers, People Operations, and leadership, you’ll develop and execute recruiting strategies that uphold our commitment to hiring with intentionality and excellence.

Your efforts will have a direct impact on Temporal’s scaling trajectory, ensuring we bring in people who share our mission and values and contribute to our culture of excellence and belonging.

What You’ll Do
  • Support hiring across our G&A and non-technical functions, including finance, operations, marketing, and sales, adjusting your approach to meet different team dynamics.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers and teams to understand hiring needs and priorities across departments.
  • Own full-cycle recruiting from sourcing through offer negotiation and closing in a fast paced and competitive talent market.
  • Source high-quality, diverse talent through creative outreach, networking, and tools like HireEZ, and open-source communities.
  • Manage and optimize recruiting workflows using our ATS (Ashby) to ensure a smooth, data-informed hiring process.
  • Provide a world-class candidate experience that reflects Temporal’s values.
  • Proactively identify and remove process bottlenecks, ensuring velocity without compromising quality.
  • Support onboarding transitions in collaboration with People Operations.
What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally with exposure to finance, operations, marketing, and sales roles.
  • Proven success in a fast-paced environment at a high-growth startup or infrastructure /dev-tool company
  • Demonstrated ability to source passive candidates and engage technical talent communities.
  • Strong working knowledge of ATS (Ashby strongly preferred) and Sourcing platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interfacing with senior leadership.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills, able to juggle multiple searches without dropping the ball.
  • Collaborative mindset with a passion for building diverse, values-aligned teams.
  • A strong sense of urgency balanced with thoughtfulness and care in decision-making.
Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with open-source communities or experience supporting developer-centric products, but curiosity and willingness to learn go a long way
Compensation
  • The estimated pay range for this role is $108,000 - $178,500
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Temporal’s equity plan.
