About Us

We're living through a fundamental shift in how people discover, evaluate, and purchase products. The next generation doesn't respond to traditional marketing -- they build relationships with brands through authentic social interactions, seek recommendations from communities they trust, and expect personalized experiences that feel human, not corporate.

At Nectar Social, we're building the AI-native social operating system that enables this new era of commerce. We believe every social interaction should deepen the relationship between brands and their communities while creating genuine value for both sides.

Founded by ex-Meta product and engineering leaders, we've raised over $30M in total capital from investors including GV and True Ventures. We work with brands like Oura Health, Caraway, e.l.f. Cosmetics, Kosas, OLIPOP, and many more. We're building the future of social commerce -- where community, conversation, and commerce converge.

The Role

We're looking for a Senior Recruiter to help scale the recruiting function at Nectar during an exciting phase of growth. Reporting directly to the Head of Talent, you’ll join a collaborative, fast-paced startup team dedicated to attracting and hiring world-class talent.

In this role, you’ll have a massive impact on our culture and trajectory. You will partner closely with the company leaders to identify top candidates across engineering, product, go-to-market, and operations, while helping optimize the systems, playbooks, and candidate experiences that allow Nectar to scale.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Execute Full-Cycle Recruiting: Own full-cycle recruiting across a mix of technical and non-technical roles, including engineering, product, GTM, and operations.

  • Partner with Leadership: Collaborate with the Head of Talent, founders, and hiring managers to understand team goals, align on hiring roadmaps, and execute prioritized headcount plans.

  • Scale the Recruiting Engine: Work alongside the Head of Talent to refine structured interview processes, calibration frameworks, and decision-making systems.

  • Creative Sourcing: Source, engage, and close exceptional candidates through outbound outreach, referrals, communities, and creative sourcing strategies.

  • Data-Driven Recruiting: Leverage recruiting metrics and dashboards to track pipeline health, optimize time-to-hire, and ensure high-quality hiring decisions.

  • Elevate Candidate Experience: Deliver a high-touch, exceptional candidate experience from the first outreach all the way through onboarding.

  • Enable Hiring Teams: Train and support hiring managers with structured interview frameworks, calibration processes, and objective evaluation techniques.

  • Enhance Employer Brand: Partner with the Head of Talent and marketing to help tell Nectar’s story and strengthen our talent narrative in the market.

What We're Looking For
  • 5–7+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a proven track record in scaling technology start-up environments.

  • Versatile Recruiter: Proven ability to identify, engage, and close exceptional candidates across both technical and non-technical disciplines.

  • Collaborative Mindset: Excitement about working within a growing talent team, sharing best practices, and building together.

  • High Talent Bar: Strong judgment around culture add, role fit, and long-term potential, maintaining high quality without sacrificing speed.

  • Strong Stakeholder Management: Comfort partnering closely with hiring managers, functional leaders, and executives.

  • Startup DNA: Resourceful, adaptable, low ego, and highly comfortable operating in ambiguity with a strong bias toward action.

  • Location: Willingness to collaborate in person with the team in Palo Alto.

Bonus Points
  • Experience working in an early-stage startup during a rapid growth phase.

  • Strong pre-existing network within engineering, product, or GTM talent ecosystems.

  • Experience experimenting with modern recruiting analytics, AI sourcing tools, or talent intelligence platforms.

What We Offer
  • Competitive compensation and early equity

  • Health, vision, and dental benefits + 401(k) match

  • Clear career growth opportunities as the company scales

  • Free lunch in the heart of University Ave. in Palo Alto

  • Deep exposure to cutting-edge AI tooling and the opportunity to shape how brands use it

  • A collaborative, ambitious team defining a new category of AI-native marketing infrastructure
