About the Role

Poshmark is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join our Revenue Accounting team. This role requires excellent business, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, has strong attention to detail, and is eager to learn complex processes and systems. You take ownership of your work, focus on the fine points, and see daily challenges as opportunities to grow alongside the company.

This is a high-volume role that requires a hardworking, detail-oriented professional with exceptional communication skills. You'll partner daily with Finance Systems, Engineering, Business Development, Marketing, and Operations teams on various aspects of accounting, including month-end close processes, reconciliations and related analysis, external audit support, monthly/quarterly controls, reporting packages, and ad hoc projects and assignments.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly/quarterly revenue accounting close activities, including revenue analysis, journal entries, and account reconciliations for revenue and related accounts.

  • Execute monthly/quarterly Order-to-Cash controls across all revenue streams.

  • Reconcile transactions across multiple systems, including subledgers, business intelligence platform, and the ERP system.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve daily inquiries on unusual revenue transactions.

  • Collaborate with the Finance Systems, Data, and Engineering teams to support system enhancements, API implementations, and process automation related to revenue processes.

  • Reconcile internal and external data to posted accounting balances, performing complex Order-to-Cash reconciliations.

  • Support the implementation of new product and marketing program launches, including system configuration and testing, ensuring compliance with ASC 606.

  • Assist with SOX implementation and maintain compliance with SOX 404 controls.

  • Support internal and external audits, as well as ad hoc projects as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent; CPA highly recommended.

  • Working knowledge of current GAAP standards, including familiarity with ASC 606; Big 4 experience, eCommerce experience, and high-volume transaction experience all preferred.

  • 3–5+ years of Order-to-Cash, revenue, or related accounting experience.

  • Public company and SOX 404 experience desired.

  • Experience with revenue recognition software (Leapfin) and BI tool (Looker)

  • Experience with NetSuite or an equivalent ERP system; comfortable working through system implementations, integrations, or process automation projects.

  • Tech-savvy and genuinely curious about how systems and data flow together — quick to pick up new tools, platforms, and AI-driven solutions to streamline accounting processes.

  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office; actively looks for ways to automate manual work using available AI tools and technology.

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent reconciliation skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to think outside the box, work independently with general supervision, and contribute beyond the defined role as business needs require; proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement.

  • Internally motivated to seek out answers, generate ideas, and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • High degree of confidentiality, integrity, and judgment
