This position is 100% remote anywhere in the US

Overview:

The Sales Engineering team is responsible for driving and managing the technology evaluation stages of a sales process. Members of the Sales Engineering team liaise regularly with sales personnel, product management, marketing, engineering, and other teams to remove any barriers to sales opportunities. This role will primarily serve the Precisely’s Americas sales organization.

What you will do:

  • Participate in all aspects of the sales process to ultimately interpret and address client requirements with an innovative and collaborative mindset. Perform technical and business value discovery with customers from all verticals and industries to identify pain points and possible solutions.
  • Present the value of the Precisely solution to clients in various stages of the sales cycle in the form of custom demos, workshops, proof of concepts/value, pilot projects, assisted trials. Expect to work across environments like Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Azure to build custom Precisely solutions.
  • Build solution demonstrations using the modern tech stack, perform pilots and POCs in complex multi cloud environments. Tech stack may involve use and build of APIs, SDKs and Precisely data to build solutions. Our SEs typically build 5-7 custom pilots/POCs over the course of a fiscal year.
  • Provide consultative solutions spanning across multiple business units and technology domains not limited to Precisely solutions. Our SEs act as trusted advisors for our customers’ strategic projects like Digital transformation, Last Mile delivery etc where customers are not only expecting our solution value but best practices from the marketplace to build their data strategy around those industry best practices. Hence, it’s imperative for our SEs to stay current with the market trends and industry best practices.
  • Improve efficiency of the presales team, contribute to creating reusable demos, documents, and other assets. Every custom solution built needs to be documented and added to the library, so one can expect to add 5-7 reusable solutions to the asset library every year.
  • Be a Precisely brand ambassador at trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events. Every SE typically represents Precisely 3-4 times at industry events. It’s expected to prep, build and deliver assets relevant to the event.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelors in computer science, Information Technology or other relevant Engineering/technical branch of academics
  • 5+ years of experience in any of the following functions: presales or customer success or product management or professional services or engineering or technical support
  • 4+ years of experience developing solutions using Scala, Python, JAVA, Spark frameworks in environments like Databricks.
  • Proven relationship management experience, with the ability to communicate with, present to, and influence both technical and operational stakeholders all the way up to the C-Suite.
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud environments for example - AWS, MS Azure
  • Demonstrable experience with SAAS architecture and Cloud Computing
  • Travel is required: Yes – Approximately 30%
  • Experience with data management (Data Quality, Data Governance, Data Integration, MDM) tools and solutions would be a plus
  • Demonstrable experience with Generative AI is a plus
