Job Overview
As a Shopify Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our Shopify storefront — ensuring it delivers a luxury, performant, and conversion-optimized experience. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with design, marketing, and product teams to bring our brand story to life digitally.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Build and optimize custom Shopify sections, templates, and components aligned with our luxury brand aesthetic
- Integrate and manage third-party apps and APIs including Klaviyo, Yotpo, Shop Pay, and other eCommerce tools
- Ensure high performance across devices — with a strong focus on mobile-first development and sub-3-second load times
- Lead A/B testing initiatives and optimize product detail pages (PDPs) for conversion, including ingredient storytelling, skin quiz tools, and subscription flows
- Maintain and improve Shopify subscription functionality and loyalty/rewards integrations
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement pixel-perfect, brand-consistent designs
- Monitor and resolve front-end bugs, performance issues, and cross-browser compatibility problems
- Participate in eCommerce roadmap planning and contribute technical insights to business decisions
- Ensure SEO best practices are implemented across all storefront pages
Required Skills & Experience
- Hands-on Shopify development experience
- Strong proficiency in Shopify Liquid templating language
- Solid front-end skills — HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+)
- Familiarity with Shopify APIs — REST and GraphQL (Storefront API / Admin API)
- Experience integrating apps like Klaviyo, Yotpo, Recharge, or similar
- Understanding of Core Web Vitals, page speed optimization, and Lighthouse scoring
- Experience with Git/version control and modern development workflows
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for luxury aesthetics and brand consistency
Nice to Have
- Experience with headless commerce or Shopify Hydrogen/Oxygen
- Familiarity with Shopify Plus features (Scripts, Checkout Extensions, Flow)
- Prior experience working with beauty, wellness, or luxury eCommerce brands
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1)
- Exposure to AI-powered shopping tools or personalization integrations
- Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud or multi-platform eCommerce environments
