The Developer Experience team empowers Snowflake engineers to do what they do best: write and ship highly reliable code fast. Our vision is to build the world's best Developer Experiences platform using the latest AI advancements. We own Bazel Build systems, IDEs, and Cloud Workspaces. We use the latest AI technologies to solve Snowflake’s engineering problems. Almost all Snowflake engineers use our products daily. This is a high-impact, high-visibility team which defines Snowflake's engineering culture. Alongside industry experts in developer productivity, you will evolve our infrastructure and tooling to be elastic, performant and easy-to-use. If you have a passion to make developers highly productive and a knack for using the latest AI advancements to solve real-world problems, we would love to talk.

OUR IDEAL SOFTWARE ENGINEER WILL HAVE:
  • 7+ years of hands-on software development experience in a corporate environment.

  • Strong inclination to use and innovate using AI tools

  • A strong passion for making developers highly productive.

  • A track record of flawless technical execution.

  • Excellent problem solving skills and strong CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.

  • Fluency in Java, C++, Python or Golang.

  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

  • Outstanding written and oral English language skills.

  • Ability to work on-site at our Bellevue, WA or Menlo Park, CA office.

BONUS POINTS FOR EXPERIENCE WITH THE FOLLOWING:
  • Experience working on enterprise-grade build systems.

  • Developing data or distributed systems internals.

  • Experience with Bazel and / or observability.
