We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer for the Embedded Platform team. This is an outstanding opportunity to accelerate the pace of Jetson, IGX and DGX Spark Product Software system development within NVIDIA. Using your expansive knowledge of embedded platforms, Linux kernel operating systems, and software architectures, you will work with a world-wide development team to address the unique challenges of delivering the world's most powerful platform for crafting solutions for AI at-the-edge. Have you worked on Linux-based embedded products through full product lifecycles and have a passion for hands-on building of innovative products? If so, this position is for you!

What you'll be doing:

  • Implement features that showcase the capabilities of Jetson, IGX and DGX Spark platforms.

  • Bring the latest AI at-the-edge generations to life by working on sophisticated system-on-module designs.

  • Contribute broadly from hardware platform bringup to boot firmware, Linux kernel device drivers, RTOS firmware and software SDKs.

  • Collaborate with various teams to craft and develop system-level software solutions.

  • Engage in the full product lifecycle, from hardware bring-up to production deployment.

What we need to see:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer engineering or equivalent experience.

  • 8+ years of shown experience in Linux and sophisticated embedded systems development.

  • Excellent C/C++/bash programming skills.

  • Able to understand the platform hardware schematics and engage with hardware team.

  • Knows oscilloscope, logic analyzer for the hardware debugging

  • Knows software debugging tools specifically used at linux kernel and firmware level.

  • Prior knowledge of driving platform board support package (BSP) features and release.

  • Outstanding technical skills and the ability to work across complementary teams.

  • Shown success in problem-solving and interpreting technical specifications.

Ways to stand out from the crowd

  • Experience in platform validation, bringup for edge or embedded devices, involve in SoC and platform IOs bringup checkouts, coordinating with various stack holders if needed, debug and test.

  • Develop complete platform Board Support Package (BSP) for the release

  • Familiarity with embedded microprocessor architectures such as ARM, Linux kernel and various subsystems within.

  • Contributions to tools or frameworks for hardware bring‑up, diagnostics, automated test systems, or execution tracking in Linux‑based edge environments

  • Experience with Jetson, IGX, DGX Spark developer kits.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
