Job Description:

Workhuman iQ is our AI-powered people analytics and cultural intelligence platform. It transforms millions of real recognition moments into actionable insights that help us understand skills, retention, engagement, and inclusivity across the business. With real time dashboards and an embedded AI Assistant, iQ gives leaders and teams instant visibility into cultural health, performance trends, and talent strengths without needing analysts or complex tools.  
 
You’ll be joining the WHIQ team, a cross-functional Squad of engineers bringing together expertise across Machine Learning, Backend, Frontend, and QA. The team owns and develops the user experience for the Workhuman iQ application as well as the people leader focused team analytics with customer facing experiences. They are responsible for designing, building, deploying, and maintaining high quality features that bring Workhuman's vision to life for our customers. This includes close collaboration across engineering, product, and design to deliver intuitive, performant, and scalable solutions. As a Software Engineer (FE), you’ll get to contribute in shaping technical direction and supporting your teammates.  

Tech stack:   

React, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, RESTful APIs, PostgreSQL, SQL, Redis, Terraform, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, CodeArtifact, Git, AWS (ECS Fargate, Lambda, S3, RDS, Neptune, CloudFront, ALB)  

** This is a hybrid role which requires at least 3 days a week onsite in our Dublin office**

  • You’ll be an integral member of the squad, contributing to the design and delivery of high-quality, scalable, and user-focused frontend solutions. 

  • You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering peers to build experiences that deliver real customer value. You’ll take ownership of features from implementation to release, ensuring performance, accessibility, and maintainability are at the core of your work. 

  • You’ll have opportunities to grow your technical depth, expand your problem-solving skills, and learn from senior engineers across the team. 

The skills you bring:   

  • You have 4 years + of experience developing modern web applications using React, TypeScript, and JavaScript, with a strong understanding of building performant and maintainable user interfaces. 

  • You demonstrate good problem-solving and debugging skills, taking ownership of your work, and contributing to the team’s overall delivery. 

  • You write clean, scalable, and well-tested code, following best practices in accessibility, performance, and maintainability. 

  • You collaborate effectively within your squad, contributing to discussions, sharing knowledge, and supporting a positive engineering culture. 

Good to have:  

  • You have some exposure to backend technologies or full-stack development. 

  • You have experience working with data visualisation, analytics UIs, or interactive dashboards. 

  • You’re familiar with AWS services (e.g. ECS Fargate, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudFront) and DevOps tools (e.g. Terraform, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, CodeArtifact) that support reliable delivery pipelines. 

  • You’re comfortable using Git and familiar with best practices in version control, CI/CD, and collaborative software development.
