Build the Future of Manufacturing

Manufacturing is a $13 trillion industry—but much of it still runs on outdated, slow, and fragmented systems. Fictiv is changing that.

Since 2013, we’ve been building a cloud-based, AI-powered digital manufacturing platform that helps companies go from prototype to production faster than ever. Our platform combines intelligent software with a global network of vetted manufacturing partners—powering innovation across electric vehicles, robotics, and next-gen consumer products.

We’re growing fast and looking for engineers who want to solve complex, real-world problems at scale.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll help build and scale the systems that power our global manufacturing ecosystem:

  • Design and develop highly available, scalable backend services in AWS
  • Build and maintain event-driven, asynchronous systems using Node.js
  • Create robust APIs (REST / GraphQL) powering customer-facing and internal tools
  • Partner closely with product, frontend, and infrastructure teams to ship impactful features
  • Contribute to technical design discussions and drive best practices across the team
  • Debug production issues and improve system reliability
  • Continuously improve code quality through testing, observability, and documentation

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of backend engineering experience
  • Strong skills in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience building systems on AWS (SQS, Lambda, EC2, RDS, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures
  • Experience designing and maintaining REST or GraphQL APIs
  • Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Commitment to writing unit and integration tests
  • Knowledge of system design, caching, and security best practices (OWASP Top 10)
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (green card holder)

Nice to have:

  • AWS certification
  • Experience with high-scale or business-critical systems

How You Work

  • You take ownership and deliver clean, maintainable, production-ready code
  • You communicate clearly and collaborate across teams
  • You’re proactive in solving problems—even outside your immediate scope
  • You enjoy mentoring others and raising the bar for engineering excellence
  • You stay curious and continuously learn new technologies and patterns

Why Fictiv?

  • Work on real-world problems impacting global supply chains
  • Join a fast-growing company at the intersection of AI, software, and manufacturing
  • Collaborate with teams building products used by top hardware innovators
