The Software Engineer will assist in the modernization of our Identity & Access Management (IAM) data platforms and applications. This role will drive the transformation of legacy SQL environments into a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Lakehouse architecture, enabling scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with one or more programming languages including Java, C#, C++, or Python
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Angular, REST services, and microservices architecture
  • Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, or DB2
  • Cloud engineering experience with AWS services including Lambda, EC2, EMR, Glue, Athena, or S3
  • Experience with DevOps tools and practices including Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Maven, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong analytical skills with experience processing and validating large datasets
  • Experience contributing to large-scale system modernization or data migration initiatives
  • Familiarity with enterprise security, access management, and application compliance frameworks
