Job Description:

This position is an onsite role that will be based at our office in Fremont, CA, US.

 

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do

 

·       Manage Nextpower software application suite for Design and Quoting of Nextpower Products, namely NX Designer, with the goal of aligning the suite with Nextpower’s Corporate goals and defining the software vision, KPIs and development roadmap.

·       Assume product leadership of NX Designer suite of applications, by becoming an expert on them and being an evangelist who continuously strives to make the software suite successful, driving user adoption and value to the company 

·       Engage all the stakeholders, including the customers and the users, in contributing to the software goals and get them on board with the vision

·       Translate user needs and business goals into intuitive, valuable software features that serve them

·       Prioritize the software features and changes in accordance with the business impact

·       Create user stories and work with UX designers on flows and prototypes.

·       Collaborate closely with the engineering leaders to ensure technical feasibility and timely delivery.

·       Continually track and analyze usage metrics to measure experience success and uncover areas for optimization.

·       Develop in-depth understanding of users and stakeholders, that inform software decisions.

·       Lead quantitative and qualitative research, synthesize findings, and make recommendations to senior product leadership.

·       Stay up to date on market trends, emerging best practices, and competitors.

·       Communicate clearly and proactively to your leadership team about the software suite’s roadmap and progress.

 

Here is some of what you’ll need (required)

 

·       5+ years’ experience in solar system engineering design process, rules, regulations

·       2+ years’ experience in driving design software requirements, automation, goals with software development teams

·       Experience with agile software development process

·       Strong background in engineering of infrastructure solutions, comprising of hardware and software components

·       Passion for understanding customer needs and advocating for the customer experience.

·       Strong aptitude for learning new technical concepts to the extent they apply to a product

·       Strong analytical abilities and data-driven mindset.

·       Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

 

Here are a few of our preferred experiences

 

·       Experience in structural engineering tools and processes

·       Experience in use or development or product management of software tools for solar or structural engineering design

·       Experience working in the solar industry; utility scale solar experience is a plus

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The annual salary range for this position is Pay Range (Applicable to California) $180,000.00 - $205,000.00 dependent on level of experience.
