Senior Solution Consultant – Finance & Business Services (Presales)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Solution Consultant to join our Finance & Business Services Presales team. In this role, you will partner with enterprise customers to uncover complex planning challenges, shape enterprise planning transformation strategies, and demonstrate how Anaplan drives measurable business impact.

The ideal candidate combines strong consultative skills, executive communication, business process expertise, and a passion for solving complex business problems in collaborative, fast-paced enterprise sales environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with enterprise prospects across Financial Services and Business Services industries to identify planning inefficiencies, operational challenges, and transformation opportunities.

• Lead consultative discovery conversations to uncover strategic business drivers, decision-making gaps, and enterprise planning challenges.

• Design and deliver compelling solution demonstrations, workshops, and value-based presentations tailored to executive and operational audiences.

• Drive alignment across finance, operations, technology, and executive stakeholders throughout complex sales cycles.

• Translate complex business and planning challenges into differentiated solution strategies leveraging Anaplan’s Connected Planning platform.

• Articulate the value of AI-enabled planning capabilities, predictive analytics, and scenario modeling to help customers envision practical enterprise use cases.

• Collaborate closely with Account Executives, Customer Success, Product Management, and Partner teams to develop and execute winning account strategies.

• Create and enhance repeatable industry solutions, demo assets, and presales best practices to support organizational success.

• Contribute to industry expertise, competitive positioning, and thought leadership through customer engagements, industry events, and internal enablement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in presales, solution consulting, enterprise software, Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), or related planning disciplines.

• Proven experience supporting complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles.

• Industry experience within Financial Services, Insurance, Banking, Capital Markets, or other highly regulated environments preferred.

• Strong consultative discovery and value-selling skills with the ability to connect business challenges to technology solutions.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver impactful executive presentations, facilitate workshops, and conduct tailored solution demonstrations.

• Experience engaging senior stakeholders, including CFOs, FP&A leaders, Operations leaders, and Transformation executives.

• Strong understanding of financial planning, operational planning, workforce planning, and sales performance management processes.

• Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, rapidly learn new business domains, and operate effectively in fast-paced enterprise organizations.

• Experience collaborating across cross-functional sales, product, customer success, and professional services teams.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills preferred.

• Prior experience with Anaplan or other EPM/platform technologies is a plus.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or a related field preferred.
