About Suno

We're building the world's first creative entertainment platform, where the entire world can feel the joy and fulfillment of making music. Music is for everyone: Our users include everyone from grandmothers creating songs for their loved ones, to Grammy winners using Suno Studio, our power tool, to make the most popular hits in the world.

Building the future of entertainment requires ambition. The pace is fast, the problems are hard, and the work demands ownership and intensity. For the right people, it’s incredibly rewarding: a chance to shape a new medium, work with a small team that cares deeply about quality, make music, drink too much coffee, and build something that millions of people use to express themselves in ways that were never before possible.

Suno is the fastest growing consumer entertainment company and the leader in AI music. We are backed by leading investors including Bond Capital, Menlo Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, IVP, Forerunner, Union Square Ventures, Alkeon, Quiet, Matrix Partners, Schroders Capital and, NVentures (venture arm of NVIDIA).

About the Role

Suno's song creation agent takes a plain-language request, plans the steps, and calls our music models and audio tools to make the song. We're hiring Senior / Staff Full-Stack / AI Engineers to build the backend, data and evals behind it, working alongside ML engineers, PMs and the product teams who build on top of it. Most of the work is making a nondeterministic system behave, and proving that it does before anything ships. You'll join a small team and own your part of the agent, with a real say in how the rest of it is built.

What You'll Do
  • Build and run the backend for an AI agent that plans multi-step requests and calls music models and audio tools.

  • Design the evals, datasets and release gates that decide whether a change to the agent ships, and make the call when the results are noisy.

  • Develop the data pipelines that feed the agent and its evals, working alongside ML engineers.

  • Create internal tools for running and reviewing evals.

  • Share on-call and launch support for a high-traffic production system, and help the team ramp new engineers as it grows.

  • Help make creative fulfillment a daily reality for everyone by shipping the features people use to turn an idea into music.

What You'll Need
Must-Haves
  • 4–6 years building and scaling general backend systems in production, in any language: services at scale, observability and on-call ownership.

  • Experience shipping and operating an LLM-powered agent or feature in production, for external or internal users, with multi-step tool calling.

  • Experience building evals for nondeterministic systems, such as regression sets, graders or LLM judges, and using the results to decide what ships.

  • Comfort on a small team that runs production: handling ambiguity, unblocking yourself, and working with ML engineers, PMs and partner teams.

Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience with Python backends.

  • Experience building internal tools or dashboards, in TypeScript and React, for reviewing model output.

  • Experience with audio, music or other media generation systems.

  • Experience with LLM tracing and observability tools.
