The Senior/Staff Product Manager will define the product strategy and roadmap for AV development, manage developer needs, and collaborate with teams to deliver scalable development infrastructure.
Woven by Toyota is enabling Toyota’s once-in-a-century transformation into a mobility company. Inspired by a legacy of innovating for the benefit of others, our mission is to challenge the current state of mobility through human-centric innovation — expanding what “mobility” means and how it serves society.
Our work centers on four pillars: AD/ADAS, our autonomous driving and advanced driver assist technologies; Arene, our software development platform for software-defined vehicles; Woven City, a test course for mobility; and Cloud & AI, the digital infrastructure powering our collaborative foundation. Business-critical functions empower these teams to execute, and together, we’re working toward one bold goal: a world with zero accidents and enhanced well-being for all.
TEAM
The Dev Ecosystem team provides a robust and efficient development platform that supports the entire autonomy software development lifecycle. Our tools and workflows optimize the Active Learning Loop, accelerate development, and enable rigorous evaluation—ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, production-grade AD/ADAS software.
Our mission is to deliver scalable tools and workflows that enable rapid, high-confidence development of ADAS features. This includes simulation integration, data pipelines, analysis tooling, and developer-facing web applications. We partner closely with ADAS developers, systems engineering, release, and infrastructure teams to provide intuitive workflows that support testing at scale and insight generation from real-world and simulated data.
ROLE
We are looking for product managers who bring exceptional creative, analytical, and infrastructure skills to build, drive forward, and scale best-in-class products. Product management at Woven Planet leads the integration of engineering, data science, and design to achieve the company’s vision for reinventing transportation. As a Product Manager in AD/ADAS, you will build a deep understanding of (internal and external) user needs and constraints (technical, legal, business, etc), envisioning and weighing different approaches, and ultimately defining the goals, priorities, and roadmap, empowering our engineering teams to deliver the most impact possible given available resources.
Responsibilities:
- Define and own the product strategy and roadmap for the AV development ecosystem, including simulation platforms, developer tools, APIs, and integration frameworks.
- Deeply understand developer needs, pain points, and workflows through direct engagement, data analysis, and competitive analysis of similar tools.
- Collaborate with engineering, data, safety, and operations teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and user-friendly development infrastructure
- As a Product Manager, you’ll align teams within Dev Ecosystem around a common vision for productivity and ease-of-use and turn that vision into reality. You’ll work closely with engineering, testing, and program management to create the tools and workflows.
- Support setting the short-, mid- and long-term technical roadmap for the team in collaboration with the technical leads and the leadership team
- Own and drive the end to end execution of the product through technical engagements (architecture design, reviews, etc) both internally and externally.
- Define, track, and analyze key performance metrics
- Collaborate closely with leads and EMs working on different components across the org
- Understand our strategic and competitive position. Set your team's goals, success metrics and roadmap to align with Woven Planet’s mission and drive maximum impact based on data analysis, user research and partnering with other teams.
- Clearly communicate roadmaps, priorities, and decisions across a wide spectrum of audiences from partner teams to executive levels.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- 7+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in developer platforms, tools, or infrastructure—ideally in the AV, automotive, or robotics domains.
- Proven track record of launching and scaling complex technical products for engineering users.
- Strong technical background; experience with simulation, cloud infrastructure, APIs, or embedded systems is highly desirable.
- Understanding of the Enterprise systems, workflow tools, data management, validation, and deployment systems
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to define and track meaningful product metrics.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Natural ability to influence things happening around you. You manage project ambiguity, complexity and interdependencies in an organized and structured way.
- Detail-oriented with superior organizational skills -- balancing multiple projects, deadlines, and requests should be second nature to you.
BONUS POINTS
- Prior experience in the AV industry
- Experience in building and launching software infrastructure and tools for wide use inside and outside the company.
- Passion for the AV industry and what we are trying to achieve in sustainable urban transportation.
- Experience working closely with teams located in other countries
- Experience working with open-source communities or third-party developer ecosystems.
