Job Description

Primary Function of the Position

The Senior Supply Chain Analyst, NPI Sourcing will be a results-oriented leader that ensures consistent best practice usages of strategies, tools and processes across the New Products supply chain.  This role works with NPI Sourcing, strategic sourcing, design engineering, supplier engineering, value engineering, manufacturing engineering and finance ensuring strategic and tactical alignment facilitating team wide New Products Supply Chain performance.  This individual will report into the Senior Director Global Supply Chain, NPI and will also drive business objectives in order to drive product launch timelines, scalability, capacity, inventory and cost plans required to build a world-class supply chain.

Essential Job Duties  

  • Create and lead internal cross functional alignment process, as well as tools to enable new product readiness and project performance.
  • Lead and drive internal review processes, leading meetings, owning and maintaining program and project data, reviewing projects across Intuitive product families, enabling material and inventory readiness, supply capacity readiness, risk mitigations, and cost planning.
  • Drive consistent and continuously improving project phase gate readiness, anticipating challenges, creating a platform for proactive engagement, review and industry leading performance.
  • Publish regular reporting on key program metrics, including: capacity, item risk, cost, ASL readiness, cost, and actions required to close.
  • Drive consistency of data, reporting, project management, and performance across product lines
  • Candidate will be responsible for ensuring an environment where strong collaboration exists across the new product functional teams within Intuitive
  • The candidate will work with business owners and functional leaders to identify project managers, supplier engineers, design engineers and strategic sourcing to implement a standardized process to ensure performance across functions, through a high degree of data aggregation, analysis, and identifying actions to drive:
    • Supply risk identification and mitigation
    • Supply capacity management
    • Materials and inventory management
    • Cost
  • Utilization, knowledge and mastery of the following tools will be critical to performance:
    • SAP
    • Agile
    • Supplier portal
    • Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) , Tableau
    • Smartsheets
  • Act as a subject matter expert for overall new product introduction, our phase gate process, and our supply chain requirements.  Facilitate integration of process and systems while understanding the interdependencies of existing projects, products and our supply chain in order to improve operational efficiencies, align to best practices, and allow for scalability and growth.
  • Analyze and maintain knowledge in emerging supply chain projects, new product introduction
  • 33% of the role is around supply chain strategies and process, 33% of the role is around stakeholder interaction and process design and 33% of the role is around project management and execution

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience 

  • Work Experience, 8+ years in relevant industry experience 
  • Strong Project Management / Leadership Skills
  • Data Modeling Skills (Financial, Risk, etc.)
  • Data Analytics Skills (with large data sets)
  • Proficiency (preferably advanced skills) with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Advanced Data Analytics (SQL, R Studio, Python, etc.)
  • Proficiency in building and designing dashboards (Tableau, Power BI)
  • Software Solution experience: SAP/ERP Experience

Required Education and Training 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Master’s Degree Preferred

Preferred Skills and Experience 

  • Strong Communication Skills (verbal & written)
  • Strong Collaboration Skills
  • Ability to effectively operate independently
  • Ability to mentor other team members
  • APICS Certifications, CSCP, CPIM, PMP, etc.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification
  • Project Management Experience

Compensation will be based primarily on the job level at which the role is filled and the
candidate’s qualifications, consistent with applicable law.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target compensation ranges are listed.
