OVERVIEW:

OVERVIEW:

The Senior Systems Engineer – Application Automation designs and builds automated application delivery and configuration solutions, with high proficiency in Microsoft Intune and related client technologies. Performs application analysis, requirement evaluation, and ensures the successful migration and deployment of applications to configuration management platforms. Supports efforts that ensure enterprise application delivery systems remain best-in-class, focusing on automation, security, and reliability.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Software Automation/Development

• Drive the development of new and existing application automation packages and pipelines, primarily leveraging Microsoft Intune and scripting tools like PSADT and IntuneWinAppUtil.

• Develop packages that are tested, secure, and reliable to meet defined client deployment requirements.

 

Automate Software Maintenance

• Deploy, update, and manage applications across devices, including application upgrades and uninstalls, ensuring an error-free removal that leaves the client system in a clean state.

 

Preferred Technical Experience:

Microsoft Intune Expertise: Strong skills in configuring and managing Intune for device enrollment, compliance policies, task sequencing, and application automation/deployment.

Azure Integration: Familiarity with Azure Active Directory (AAD)/Entra ID for user identities, Group Memberships, and Conditional Access policies.

Software/Tools: Proficiency with PSADT, IntuneWinAppUtil, Windows Installer/MSI, WiseScript, Flexera AdminStudio /InstallShield, Active Directory, and Intune/Marimba.

Soft Skills: Strong Attention to Detail, excellent Collaboration skills with stakeholders (Application owners, Product Teams, etc.), and a commitment to Continuous Learning.

 

Capability Maintenance

• Design and oversee the functionality, usability, and accessibility of automated application deployments across the enterprise.

• Oversee/maintain documentation for all aspects of the automation process including collected requirements, pre-requisites, and testing results (install, upgrade, uninstall).

 

Faults Diagnosis and Correction

(Troubleshooting and Analytics)

• Drive fault isolation and resolution efforts for application deployment issues using Intune's reporting and analytics tools to address issues promptly.

 

Technical Developments Recommendation

• Research and suggest ways to optimize application automation solutions and delivery workflows, adhering to best practices and utilizing skills in Windows Autopilot, Mobile Device Management (MDM), and Mobile Application Management (MAM).

 

Design and Conceptualization

(Requirements & Testing)

• Collect, understand, and evaluate application and hardware requirements, making configuration recommendations.

• Collaborate with internal owners and SMEs to plan and facilitate iterative User Acceptance Functionality testing, including application configuration settings, functionality, add-ins, and performance.

 

Ongoing Learning and Development

• Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, staying updated with Intune's evolving features and best practices.

• Operate independently with a disciplined, accountable approach, requiring minimal direction to complete tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent level preferred

  • General Experience: Experience enables job holder to deal with the majority of situations and to advise others (Over 3 years to 6 years)

  • Managerial Experience: Basic experience of coordinating the work of others (4 to 6 months)

Targeted Pay Range: $83,000.00 - $138,200.00. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as: incentive, equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
