Senior Technical Integration Consultant

Introduction to the Team

Strategic Partnerships and Affiliates is a flourishing business with bold growth ambitions within the Expedia Group consumer business. We are uniquely positioned at the intersection of B2B and B2C, with a growing portfolio of products that support thousands of affiliate partners, businesses, and people to become successful travel entrepreneurs.

Our purpose is to profitably extend the reach of Expedia Group’s brands and engage with travelers where they choose to discover and book travel, by enabling businesses and people to monetize their audiences through branded travel products.

The Senior Technical Integration Consultant role sits within this team. In this role, you will apply your practical application programming interface (API) and integration expertise, together with proficient partner and program management skills, to implement solutions and technologies that make our partnerships successful.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead technical discovery with partners and internal teams to clarify use cases, requirements, constraints, and success measures
  • Own partner onboarding and API integration from discovery through launch, coordinating milestones, dependencies, and escalations
  • Guide partners through integration setup, data exchange, testing, and troubleshooting, and lead root-cause analysis for significant issues, working with engineering and product owners on fixes to Expedia Group systems
  • Build effective working relationships with external technical partners and vendors; represent Expedia Group’s technical needs, evaluate their recommendations against our architecture and business requirements, and bring decisions, risks, and opportunities back to internal teams
  • Lead cross-functional technical programs, aligning engineering, product, and business stakeholders around measurable outcomes
  • Build and maintain integration playbooks, standard operating procedures, and training materials, and identify repetitive onboarding and API support tasks (such as status tracking, follow-up coordination, intake, and ticket creation) to simplify or automate

Experience and Qualifications:

  • You have 5+ years of experience in technical integrations, implementation consulting, API support, or solutions engineering, including independently owning complex partner integrations, onboarding, or escalations in a B2B or partnership environment
  • You have practical knowledge of RESTful APIs, authentication, web hooks, API testing tools, and JSON, XML, and CSV data formats; working SQL proficiency for investigation, validation, and monitoring; and basic client-side JavaScript and browser troubleshooting (link construction, URL encoding, redirects, and tags)
  • You use logs, data, and technical evidence to identify root causes and tell apart partner implementation issues, configuration gaps, data problems, and product defects, and you translate your findings into clear partner guidance, internal documentation, or high-quality engineering escalations
  • You have proficient communication skills, explaining complex technical concepts to partners and senior leaders, while quickly learning unfamiliar APIs and tools and delivering a high-quality, personalized partner experience
  • You have proficient project management skills, comfortably managing multiple concurrent work streams, dependencies, and deadlines with autonomy
  • You have familiarity with Python scripting, workflow automation tools (e.g., n8n, Zapier), monitoring and observability tools, and AI-assisted workflow frameworks (e.g., LangChain)

The total cash range for this position in Chicago is $108,500.00 to $152,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $173,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
