Job Description:

Lead the technical strategy, sales support, deployment readiness, and lifecycle management of Electrical Balance of System (eBOS) solutions across pre-installation, installation, commissioning, and operational phases. Serve as the primary interface between customers, Sales, Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, and Field Operations to ensure successful deployment, performance optimization, and continuous improvement of eBOS products and deployed systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical pre-sales activities for eBOS solutions, providing application engineering support, technical guidance, and customer-facing expertise throughout project development and bidding phases.

  • Partner with EPCs, developers, owners, and operators to define requirements and deliver optimized eBOS solutions that improve constructability, performance, and lifecycle value.

  • Drive deployment readiness by collaborating with Product Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing on product launches, field validation, installation planning, and commissioning strategies.

  • Manage customer engagements through installation, commissioning, and operational phases, ensuring successful deployments and timely resolution of technical issues.

  • Collaborate on deployed systems engineering activities, including field performance monitoring, reliability analysis, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and corrective action management.

  • Translate field data and Voice-of-Customer feedback into product improvements, design enhancements, and future roadmap priorities.

  • Develop and maintain installation standards, technical documentation, training programs, and best practices to support consistent deployment quality and operational excellence.

  • Track and report key performance metrics related to deployment quality, reliability, customer satisfaction, and field issue resolution while utilizing Salesforce and business analytics tools to drive visibility and decision-making.

Technical Knowledge

  • Utility-scale solar project engineering, eBOS systems, commissioning, or field operations.

  • Technical sales, applications engineering, or customer-facing engineering leadership.

  • Product deployment, reliability engineering, and field performance analysis.

  • Cross-functional leadership across Product, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Field Operations.

  • Experience supporting projects through the full lifecycle from pre-installation planning through deployment and long-term operational support.

What We’re Looking For 

Experience 

  • 8+ years of experience in utility-scale solar energy, technical sales engineering, applications engineering, system design or construction  

  • Bachelor’s degree in related fields or equivalent relevant professional experience

  • Extensive experience supporting competitive U.S. sales processes. 

  • Demonstrated involvement in Independent Engineer (IE) reviews and lender technical diligence. 

  • Proven track record influencing technical decisions in large-scale project environments. 

Skills 

  • High-level communication skills with the ability to translate technical detail into clear commercial value. 

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookup functions, scenario modeling). 

  • Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce or equivalent. 

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent opportunities. 

  • Customer-focused, detail-oriented, and composed under pressure. 

  • Prior engagement with EPCs, developers, IPPs, and Independent Engineers within the U.S. market.

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The annual salary range for this position is $155,000 - $165,000.
