About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Business Services Consultant who will enhance and build our model for how TechBD engages with early-stage startups, venture capital firms, and private equity firms. This role will help define our coverage model of key firms/clients, help identify venture and growth stage private companies that are aligned with our technology strategies and consult with the broader team, define and build our scorecard and tracking. Also, this individual will engage with key stakeholders across the firm ranging from innovation teams to Consumer Banking to Corporate and Investment Banking. Key deliverables include building and maintaining the data that describes our relationships with startups and investors, which includes evaluation data, a framework to provide feedback on the startups we have met with their investors, spending data, interactions with investors and the tracking of RFPs and enterprise agreements. A strong candidate will have a demonstrated interest in technology, an understanding of the startup ecosystem, and the skills to build trusted partnership across Wells Fargo and with the external community. In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in managing and supporting the delivery of technology products & services for medium to large business unit clients and contribute to large scale solutions planning related to Technology Business Services
- Review customer information with the technology team
- Implement technical initiatives for complex projects impacting multiple lines of business or across the enterprise
- Lead initiatives for complex projects and work with the technology team to assess customer information and recommend best solutions to the customer
- Conduct research or testing of achieving market environment for innovative business products and services, regulatory or compliance issues and implications of new implementations
- Collaborate and consult with the technology team to resolve issues and provide customers with best possible solutions
- Provide guidance on leveraging new technology
- 4+ years of Information Technology in support of Business Services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following work experience, training, military experience, education
- Strong analytic, writing, and presentation skills. The product for this role will often be a written brief, spreadsheet/analysis, and/or slides
- An understanding of the enterprise technology stack and our strategies and goals
- Strong interpersonal skills
- An ability to build relationships that range from early in career colleagues to more senior members of the WFC team
