SUMMARY:   

The Senior UX Designer will contribute to the UX Consulting Team, delivering visually compelling, intuitive digital experiences for employees and consumers. This role combines creativity, technical skill, and strategic thinking to ensure human-centered design is at the core of our digital initiatives. 

HIERARCHY: 

This role operates within the UX Consulting Team and works cross-functionally with product teams, researchers, strategists, and other designers to deliver high-impact design solutions. 

PRIMARY DUTIES:  

  • Deliver exceptional digital solutions that seamlessly unify form and function, providing joyful user experiences. 
  • Execute visual design across a variety of digital projects, including consumer apps, patient journeys, and storytelling experiences. 
  • Balance creativity with practicality, ensuring designs are intuitive, functional, and scalable within component-based design systems. 
  • Present and communicate design rationale effectively across stakeholders, inspiring confidence and openness to feedback. 
  • Maintain high attention to detail across typography, composition, color, motion, and art direction. 
  • Participate in a collaborative, iterative design process that values critique, feedback, and a growth mindset. 
  • Stay up to date with trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices to continuously evolve design practices. 
  • Demonstrate executive accountability, initiative, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize workload to deliver results efficiently. 

COMPENTENCY: 

  • Mastery of visual design principles, including typography, composition, color theory, and grid systems. 
  • Strong understanding of design systems and component-based design frameworks. 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, integrating research, strategy, and design insights. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to simplify complex ideas for diverse audiences. 
  • Hands-on problem-solving skills with the ability to produce polished, visually stunning outputs. 

REQUIRED EDUCATION: 

Bachelor’s degree in design (Digital Design, Interaction Design, Visual Communication, HCI, or related field) or equivalent practical experience. 

EXPERIENCE: 

  • Minimum 5 years of professional visual design experience for digital platforms. 
  • Proven portfolio demonstrating visual and experience design work across multiple projects and mediums. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS: 

Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Strong visual design expertise across digital experiences. 
  • Ability to translate user research and strategy into creative visual solutions. 
  • Experience applying and extending design systems in practical contexts. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: IF REMOTE OR ADMINISTRATIVE Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. Regular, repetitive movements such as typing, mouse movements, and scrolling. Ability to hear and understand spoken communications, both in person and via remote communication tools (e.g., phone, video conferencing). Ability to see and read computer screens and printed documents, as well as adjust focus. This includes prolonged periods of looking at a computer screen. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

Office-based with collaborative team interactions; may include hybrid or remote collaboration tools. 

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: 

Standard business hours, with flexibility for project deadlines or cross-time zone collaboration. 

TRAVEL: 

Minimal; occasional travel for team or cross-functional meetings may be required.
