About the roleWe’re looking for a creative and versatile Senior Visual Designer to shape and elevate Foxglove’s brand across all channels. You’ll own our visual identity, creating cohesive, impactful assets that bring our brand to life in digital and physical spaces. Working closely with marketing, product, and engineering, you’ll deliver design that inspires our community and amplifies our presence in the robotics industry.
LocationFoxglove is a remote-friendly company, with employees spread across many locations. We maintain Pacific Time hours and hire within ±4 hours of U.S. time zones to ensure effective collaboration.
This role is onsite in our San Francisco office, but we are open to remote for highly experienced candidates with prior experience at a leading robotics or autonomous vehicle company.
Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and evolve our visual identity in alignment with Foxglove’s mission to accelerate the robotics industry.
Design across a wide range of brand touchpoints, including digital campaigns, websites, social media, pitch decks, reports, event signage, and print collateral.
Partner with the Marketing and Events teams to deliver impactful visual storytelling.
Develop and maintain comprehensive brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all channels.
Lead design for Actuate, our annual robotics developer conference, shaping the event’s brand, website, and all digital and print materials.
Collaborate with external agencies and contractors specializing in illustration, motion design, and web development to deliver high-quality work.
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
5+ years of professional experience as a Visual or Brand Designer.
Strong skills in motion design, illustration, typography, photography, and data visualization.
Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Experience designing for web and mobile platforms, with an understanding of UI/UX and accessibility principles.
Experience creating visuals for conferences and physical environments.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus points:
Experience using data visualization to tell compelling stories.
Proficiency in motion graphics or video editing tools (e.g., After Effects, Premiere Pro).
Passion for technology and interest in robotics, autonomous vehicles, or related industries.
