This role is onsite in our San Francisco office, but we are open to remote for highly experienced candidates with prior experience at a leading robotics or autonomous vehicle company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead design for Actuate, our annual robotics developer conference, shaping the event’s brand, website, and all digital and print materials.

  • Collaborate with external agencies and contractors specializing in illustration, motion design, and web development to deliver high-quality work.

What we're looking for
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Visual or Brand Designer.

  • Strong skills in motion design, illustration, typography, photography, and data visualization.

  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

  • Experience designing for web and mobile platforms, with an understanding of UI/UX and accessibility principles.

  • Experience creating visuals for conferences and physical environments.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Bonus points:

    • Experience using data visualization to tell compelling stories.

    • Proficiency in motion graphics or video editing tools (e.g., After Effects, Premiere Pro).

    • Passion for technology and interest in robotics, autonomous vehicles, or related industries.

What We Offer
  • $300 monthly budget towards commuter benefits or building your personal workspace (remote only)

  • Competitive equity grant in a Series B company

  • Medical, Dental, Vision, and Term Life insurance coverage at 100% for employees and 75% for dependents

  • 401(k) matching up to 4%

  • 4 weeks vacation, plus holidays and winter break

  • All expenses paid company off-sites 2× per year

Why Join Us

  • Impact: Own growth at a fast-growing, high-leverage moment for the company.

  • Mission: Accelerate the development of the next generation of robotics and embodied AI.

  • Team: Work with world-class engineers, designers, and researchers passionate about open-source and developer tools.
