Job Description:

At Remitly, we believe everyone deserves the freedom to access, move, and manage their money wherever life takes them. Since 2011, we've tirelessly delivered on our promise to customers sending money globally, providing secure, simple, and reliable ways to manage their money, ensuring true peace of mind. Whether it's supporting loved ones back home, growing a business across continents, or pursuing new opportunities abroad, we're not just here to move money— we're here to move our global customers forward.
We're looking for builders, reimaginers, and global thinkers who want to work at the intersection of technology, trust, and transformation. If that's you and you're ready to do the most meaningful work of your career—we invite you to join over 2,800 passionate Remitlians worldwide who are united by our vision to transform lives with trusted financial services that transcend borders.

About the Role:

Remitly's high-value senders — customers moving large amounts across borders for property purchases, tuition, family support, holidays, and many other reasons — are among our most valuable, and organic search is where most of them start. As SEO/AEO Manager on our Owned Channels team in Seattle, you will own the organic acquisition strategy for this segment end to end: growing the pages that already convert, building an entirely new content surface aimed at large-amount senders, and making sure that when someone asks a search engine or an AI assistant how to send a large sum internationally, Remitly shows up prominently and accurately. You will report to the Senior Manager, SEO Marketing, and partner closely with engineering, content, product marketing, and PR.

You Will:

  • Own organic growth for high-value senders. Success looks like increasing organic customer acquisition through both search engine and answer engine discovery surfaces.
  • Execute and refine our SEO/AEO strategy alongside product, content, and analytics partners. You'll join a team with a clear roadmap and immediate work to own. As you ship and prove out new content surfaces, you'll develop a point of view on what's working and help shape where the roadmap goes next.
  • Conduct keyword, prompt, and competitor research
  • Monitor and report rankings, answer engine visibility, and customer outcomes and communicate proactively with leadership
  • Consult on site structure and URL architecture decisions for content expansion.
  • Own how Remitly is represented off-site for high amount sending. You will get third-party sites to promote our high value product where possible, coordinate with PR and Owned Channels teammates for Reddit and affiliate partners, and collaborate with the digital PR manager that puts us in the conversations our customers are already having.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in SEO, including direct ownership of an organic acquisition target for a consumer web product.
  • A track record of moving competitive commercial and transactional keywords into top-three positions, and the analysis to show what drove it.
  • Experience building programmatic, templated, and editorial landing pages at scale, and the technical fluency to spec and ship them with engineering.
  • Hands-on work with answer engine optimization and AI search surfaces, including influencing how third parties cite and describe your product.
  • Off-page experience spanning link acquisition, affiliate and comparison-site relationships, and digital PR.
  • Practical, daily use of AI tooling in your own workflow — to produce and scale search-optimized content, to interrogate analytics data to formulate insights, and to move faster on the recurring work that drives organic and answer-engine growth.
  • Fluency with Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Accuranker (or a rank tracking tool), Profound (or an answer engine insights tool), a product analytics tool (tell us about your experience), and the ability to own reporting and forecast the acquisition impact of a proposed roadmap.
