About the Role
As a ServiceNow Developer at PHM, you will help stabilize, scale, and advance PHMCare, our ServiceNow platform and a core system supporting client delivery. This role will strengthen PHM’s internal ServiceNow expertise, reduce reliance on outsourced support, and help bring more platform knowledge and intellectual property in house.
You will join an existing ServiceNow Developer and a broader Enterprise Applications team working in a technically enabled, AI-forward environment. Your work will help our client delivery teams onboard clients more quickly, serve more clients efficiently, and continue improving the systems that support PHM’s mission.
This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to do hands-on ServiceNow development in a mission-driven environment while helping shape a more mature, scalable, and internally owned platform.
What You’ll Accomplish
- Help build deeper internal ServiceNow expertise and reduce dependency on external partners.
- Improve platform stability, scalability, and maintainability by addressing technical debt.
- Deliver high-quality ServiceNow enhancements that support faster, more efficient client delivery.
- Build strong relationships with technical team members and business users through clear listening, communication, and follow-through.
- Support PHM’s continued progress toward an innovative, AI-forward technology environment.
How You’ll Spend Your Days
ServiceNow Development and Platform Improvement
- Develop, configure, and enhance ServiceNow applications, workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, dashboards, widgets, and related platform capabilities.
- Improve PHMCare performance, usability, and scalability while reducing accumulated technical debt.
- Support integrations, automation, and workflow improvements that make client delivery more efficient.
- Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement maintainable solutions.
- Contribute to documentation, standards, and development practices that support long-term platform health.
Collaboration and Business Partnership
- Partner with Enterprise Applications, IT, Operations, business users, vendors, and other stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into effective ServiceNow solutions.
- Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Use strong listening skills to clarify the real problem before building.
- Build trust with internal teams by delivering well, following through, and adapting as needs evolve.
ServiceNow Maturity and Internal Capability
- Help strengthen PHM’s in-house ServiceNow development practices, standards, and governance.
- Collaborate with and learn from the existing ServiceNow Developer while contributing your own depth and perspective.
- Help reduce reliance on outsourced support by bringing more platform knowledge and execution capability inside PHM.
- Support a technical environment that is increasingly innovative, AI-forward, and focused on sustainable internal expertise.
What You Bring to the Table
Required
- ServiceNow certifications - CSA, CAD
- In-depth ServiceNow development and administration experience, including hands-on configuration, scripting, workflow automation, and platform customization.
- Experience building or improving ServiceNow capabilities such as business rules, client scripts, UI policies, Flow Designer, dashboards, widgets, scoped applications, or related platform features.
- Strong listening and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams and business users.
- High ownership, strong follow-through, and the ability to get things done well in a timely and effective manner.
- Adaptability and comfort working in an environment with inherited technical debt and evolving priorities.
Nice to Have
- Experience applying AI or AI-enabled tools to improve workflows, development practices, documentation, or business processes.
- Experience with JavaScript, REST APIs, Glide API, integrations, iPaaS, or external system connectivity.
- ServiceNow certifications such as Certified System Administrator or Certified Application Developer.
- Healthcare, quality, operations, CMS, or other regulated environment experience.
Compensation
The target base salary for this position is $120,000–$140,000.
This base salary is only a part of a total compensation package that also includes: health/dental/vision benefits, annual cash incentive program, 401k with match, flexible PTO, PHM for PHM (our services for you and your dependents) and other benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range as several elements including market forces, experience, location, disparities in market data and other relevant business considerations may all factor into final compensation.
Location
This is a remote role requiring that you live in and physically perform all work in the United States.
