We are looking for the best talent as a Social Media Manager. This is a hybrid role with a preferred location of Irvine, CA, but available in all US locations. While specific cities are listed in the Locations section for reference, please note that they are examples only and do not limit your application. We invite candidates from any location to apply.

The Social Media Manager will lead the strategy, development, implementation, and coordination of internal and external social media channels to support the business objectives for the Electrophysiology Business Unit at J&J. 

This role will set editorial strategy, creative advice, channel mix, paid strategy, and championing global alignment and brand representation within the JJMT social media handles. Representing the EP business to online communities, media, customers, patients, and the general population at large, this position will report to the EP Global Communications Team and will be highly visible.

The role will work in close collaboration with multiple-stakeholders (global marketing teams across the JJMT EP portfolio, regional and US Marketing and commercial teams, MedTech centralized communications teams, etc) across different geographies and including top executives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and own the social media strategy and publishing calendar aligned to EP team goals and company priorities.

  • Lead all aspects of social media planning, content production and execution. From strategic guidance for campaigns or ad-hoc request, to posting and booting approved content in LinkedIn and X JJMT’s Accounts and Cardiovascular YouTube Channel.

  • Manage budget, direct agencies and freelancers, coordinate with global and regional communicators, and hold relationships with counterparts across Johnson & Johnson to share standard methodologies and winning approaches.

  • Develop compelling, thoughtful, and unique social media ways to elevate EP’s unit reputation and impact. Coordinate campaigns and craft paid approach, in tandem with vendors to reach goals. Monitor conversations, action on comments/DMs, escalate issues to stakeholders.

  • Counsel and collaborate with partners across various functional teams to ensure a constant stream of fresh content on all social properties.

  • Optimize current social media channels, working in partnership with agency and internal team members.

  • Create and curate compelling social content and work with external partners to enhance our multiple audiences’ experience. Submit social content to Copy Review as needed.

  • Set and ensure governance, standard methodology sharing, and optimization of global corporate social media channels while maintaining brand voice and governance across channels.

  • Develop, analyze and deliver metrics to measure success and impact. Use analytics to track performance, produce weekly/monthly reports, and iterate on content and paid strategy.

  • Run social listening and competitive analysis to identify trends and content opportunities.

  • Train and enable cross-functional stakeholders on social best practices and platform updates.

  • Collaborate with enterprise, regional, and sector colleagues to drive broad awareness and impact of communications strategies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required

  • Minimum of six years of experience in communications and digital channels is required

  • Experience working with social media management, creating and curating content, is required

  • Authoritative knowledge of social platform capabilities and functionality is required

  • A mix of expertise with various interactive project types including responsive websites, mobile/tablet applications, and digital video is required

  • Experience regulated industry preferred

  • Healthcare experience preferred

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$102,000.00 - $177,100.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k))
 
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
 
Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year
