About the role

Reporting to the Dev Manager, the Front End Developer is responsible for integrating mockups and building interfaces to create beautiful and effective user experiences. They’ll also help optimize web pages for maximum efficiency while maintaining brand consistency. They will be working alongside back end developers and UI designers.

As a Front End Web Developer working at WHC, you’ll be participating in building, improving and expanding WHC’s systems to help small businesses make the most out of their online presence.

What you'll do

  • Build responsive web pages, tools and apps
  • Integrate mockups using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery to bring designs to life
  • Create code structure and code design of web pages
  • Build reusable code for future use.
  • Create content that is accessible and compliant with modern standards
  • Test and troubleshoot to ensure optimal performance and cross-browser compatibility
  • Stay updated with the latest web technologies and best practices, including AI tooling, to enhance integration processes

Qualifications

  • You are a skilled front-end developer with more than 3 years experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript and jQuery
  • You have some experience working with Linux on the command line, as well as version control systems like Git
  • You know WordPress or other content management systems well
  • You understand how web hosting and domain names work
  • You are autonomous, reliable, and intent on creating positive user experiences within the applications you develop.
  • 3+ years experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
  • Understanding of key visual design principles
  • Experience with Adobe design suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, XD)
  • Experience with code versioning tools such as Git
  • Understanding of SEO principles
  • Good working knowledge of English required to collaborate with our international teams (written and spoken)
  • Must pass a security background check
