Job Description
Summer 2027 Internship

Duration: Monday, May 17th- August 20th, 2027 

Location: San Jose, CA

Tokyo Electron (TEL) is a leader in semiconductor manufacturing equipment. We provide key parts of the manufacturing process for the world’s largest foundries. TEL Technology AI and Design Inc is our Silicon Valley AI lab, where we do groundbreaking, long-term research and technology development in AI/ML for semiconductor equipment.

We are looking for a new team member who can contribute to our AI research roadmap.

Role Requirements

  • Proficiency in Python and/or C/C++; ability to read and modify existing codebases.
  • High proficiency in algorithmic thinking and software development
  • High familiarity with current AI approaches and research
  • Clear written and verbal communication for producing technical deliverables.
  • Graduate level (M.S. or Ph.D.) preferred, strong candidates who are rising Junior or Senior level Bachelor’s level students in the named fields will be considered

Role Responsibilities

  • Drive development of assigned research tasks
  • Research and propose solutions to assigned research topics
  • Convert ideas to code in a productive and flexible manner, in existing and new code bases
  • Actively contribute to TTAD knowledge accumulation by sharing research topics and insights with team
