Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Features End-to-End: Develop and ship well-structured features with minimal supervision, ensuring business requirements are met with quality and reliability.
  • Hands-On Problem Solving: Solve moderately complex technical problems across the stack, contributing to both frontend and backend development.
  • System Understanding: Develop a strong understanding of core system components and contribute effectively to enhancements and improvements across services.
  • Uphold Engineering Standards: Participate actively in code reviews, provide constructive feedback to junior engineers, and help raise quality standards through pairing and reviews.
  • Grow Your Toolkit: Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn new technologies and take on different assignments. Proficiency in one primary language (TypeScript or Python) is expected, with genuine interest and commitment to becoming proficient in both.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Deliver a great user experience by understanding customer needs and ensuring every feature contributes to their workflow.
  • Exposure to AI-powered feature development is a plus

Requirements

Skills and Competencies:

  • 5+ years of experience in delivering scalable software products with SaaS architectures
  • Understanding of microservice architecture and RESTful Services
  • Strong skills in TypeScript or Python, with willingness and intent to learn both
  • Experience with React, HTML, CSS, Node.js, Docker
  • Preferably having experience with UV, Vite, Redis Cache, Postgres, Express, Inversify
  • Some exposure to event-driven systems or message queues
  • Experience designing relational schemas on relational data stores like PostgreSQL, MySQL
  • Experience with cloud-service providers like Azure, AWS and/or Google Cloud
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Constructive in code reviews and willing to mentor junior engineers
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, growth-minded startup where requirements change
  • Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and take on different assignments
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or an equivalent training experience
  • Awareness of AI/LLM concepts, Microsoft Office Add-in development, or clinical trials / regulated healthcare domain is a plus

Benefits

Salary

  • Salary range for this position is $152,000 to $179,000
  • Salary listed reflects the base salary only and does not include other elements of total  compensation
  • Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training

Equity

In addition to this position's salary (listed above), equity will be a major component of the total compensation for this position. We aim to offer higher-than-average equity compensation for a company of our size, and communicate equity amounts at the time of offer issuance.
