About Broccoli AI

Broccoli AI is building the AI operating system for home service businesses.

We work with plumbing, HVAC, and electrical contractors, the people who keep homes running, and we replace fragmented tools and manual workflows with AI agents that actually do the work.

Our AI assistants answer phones, book jobs, follow up with customers, and drive revenue, fully integrated into systems like ServiceTitan.

We started by going door-to-door, meeting 100+ contractors, and understanding how these businesses actually run. That shaped everything we’ve built. Today:

  • Hundreds of contractors use Broccoli to run their front office

  • We’ve grown from $0 to millions in ARR in under a year

  • We’re trusted by both single-location operators and the largest PE-backed roll-ups

  • We’ve raised $25M+ from Khosla Ventures and YC

We’re looking for a Software Engineer, Growth to build the systems, experiments, and internal tools that help Broccoli acquire, convert, and support more customers.

This role is ideal for a strong engineer who likes moving quickly, shipping production-quality code, and working on high-leverage problems across product, growth, and operations. You’ll work on the infrastructure behind growth initiatives — from lead flow and funnel instrumentation to internal workflows and tooling that help the company scale. The profile discussed for this role was a strong software engineer capable of production-level code, likely with a full-stack, back-end-leaning tilt.

What You’ll Do
  • Build and maintain internal tools that improve how Broccoli operates and scales

  • Ship growth-related product and infrastructure improvements across backend and frontend systems

  • Partner with product, growth, and operations to identify bottlenecks and turn them into reliable software

  • Design and run experiments that improve acquisition, conversion, activation, and retention

  • Improve data flows, instrumentation, and operational visibility across the funnel

  • Move quickly from ambiguous problem statements to shipped solutions with measurable impact

What You’ll Bring
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and ability to write production-level code

  • Full-stack capabilities, with comfort leaning backend when needed

  • Experience building internal tools, growth systems, or product infrastructure

  • Comfort working in ambiguity and figuring things out without a fully specified roadmap

  • Strong product and operational instincts

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and prioritize for business impact

Nice to Have
  • Experience on growth, monetization, or acquisition-focused engineering teams

  • Familiarity with experimentation systems, funnel analytics, and CRM / GTM workflows

  • Experience in startup environments with high ownership and fast iteration

  • Exposure to vertical software, marketplaces, or workflow automation

Why This Role

Growth at Broccoli is a chance to work on some of the highest-leverage problems in the company. You’ll help build the systems that connect product capability to company growth — not just by shipping features, but by making the organization itself more effective.

Broccoli is an equal-opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practice laws.
