What this Job Entails:
We are seeking a motivated and technically curious Junior AWS Cloud Engineer / Developer to join a growing Enterprise Integration Team supporting cloud-based application deployment, automation, and AI-enabled platform initiatives.
This role is ideal for an early-career cloud engineer or developer who has hands-on experience with AWS services, infrastructure-as-code, and modern cloud deployment practices. The engineer will support the deployment and hosting of enterprise applications in AWS environments while partnering with senior engineers, integration architects, and application teams.
The ideal candidate will have foundational experience building and deploying AWS infrastructure using Terraform, supporting cloud-hosted applications, configuring AWS services such as S3 and Amplify, and assisting with emerging AI-enabled tooling initiatives including Microsoft Copilot Studio and Corio AI platforms.
This is a hybrid role requiring onsite collaboration in Oakland, CA approximately 1–2 days per week.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the deployment and hosting of enterprise applications within AWS cloud environments
Develop and maintain Terraform scripts and infrastructure-as-code templates for AWS resources
Assist in provisioning and configuring AWS infrastructure components including:
S3 Buckets
AWS Amplify
IAM roles and permissions
Lambda functions
API integrations
CloudWatch monitoring
Support application deployment pipelines and environment configuration activities
Partner with Enterprise Integration and Application Development teams to support integrations between enterprise platforms and cloud-hosted applications
Assist with setup, configuration, and experimentation involving AI-enabled platforms and tools such as:
Microsoft Copilot Studio
Corio AI
Troubleshoot deployment issues, cloud configuration problems, and integration-related incidents
Participate in cloud optimization, automation, and operational improvement initiatives
Document cloud environments, deployment procedures, and operational support processes
Work collaboratively with senior cloud engineers, architects, developers, and business stakeholders
Support DevOps and CI/CD activities where needed
1–3 years of experience in AWS cloud engineering, cloud development, DevOps, or infrastructure support
Hands-on experience creating or modifying Terraform scripts
Foundational experience deploying applications into AWS environments
Experience working with AWS services such as:
S3
Amplify
IAM
Lambda
EC2
CloudWatch
Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and deployment automation
Exposure to cloud-based application hosting and support
Familiarity with REST APIs and enterprise integrations
Understanding of source control tools such as Git
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced enterprise technology environment
Exposure to Microsoft Copilot Studio or other AI automation platforms
Exposure to Corio AI or AI-driven workflow/orchestration tools
Experience supporting enterprise integration or middleware teams
Understanding of DevOps methodologies and Agile delivery environments
Experience with Python, JavaScript, Node.js, or scripting languages
AWS Certification(s) such as:
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
AWS Certified Developer Associate
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
Strong willingness to learn and grow in cloud engineering and enterprise integration environments
Ability to take direction from senior engineers while also working independently on assigned tasks
Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline
Interest in cloud automation, AI-enabled tools, and modern application deployment practices
Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
Salary Range
$40.92 - $64.62 USD (Hourly)- Please note that the salary information provided herein is base pay only (gross); it does not include other forms of compensation which may or may not apply to this specific position, namely, performance-based bonuses, benefits-related payments, or other general incentives - none of which are guaranteed, may be subject to specific eligibility requirements, and are wholly within the discretion of Astreya to remit.
