Job description:

We are seeking a Software Engineer with 3+ years of professional experience (or a candidate with equivalent demonstrated expertise) who is ready to leverage their skills to independently solve complex technical challenges and contribute significantly to our SaaS platform.

As a Level 2 Software Engineer, you will:

  • Write maintainable, testable, and efficient code for our SaaS platform.
  • Use modern, human-in-the-loop, and agentic AI workflows for maximum productivity.
  • Participate in code reviews and continuously learn best practices. You are not afraid to express your ideas in an environment where innovation is not just encouraged, it is expected.
  • Research and implement technically feasible solutions to work items.
  • Work on both front-end and back-end projects as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Work with generative AI models to develop cutting-edge features for our customers.
  • Collaborate with QA to ensure the delivery of high-quality features.
  • Create and maintain software documentation to support our development process.
  • Help integrate software components into a fully functional system.
  • Contribute to evaluating and deploying tools, processes, and metrics.
  • Provide support and consultation on software systems usage.
  • Follow industry standards and project plans to ensure compliance and quality.

And more! You will operate with significant autonomy, taking ownership of key projects and collaborating closely with highly tenured engineers and team leads to drive technical direction. This role offers the opportunity to both learn from senior engineers and mentor junior team members, and provides a clear path for continued professional growth and increased responsibility.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) or 4+ years of equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies.
  • Solid experience with modern front-end libraries or frameworks like React or Angular.
  • Experience building and maintaining back-end APIs and database concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and modern software development practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
  • Familiarity with modern development tools (Cursor, Claude, etc).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with TypeScript and Node.js
  • Experience in Python and/or PHP
  • A passion for intuitive user interface design and seamless user experiences.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based architectures (e.g., AWS)
  • Experience working remotely with dispersed teams

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,000/year in our up to $140,000/year. Pay is based on several factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Other incentives and compensation may be available based upon a number of factors, including bonus, equity, and OTE (on target earnings)
