Job Title: Software Engineer

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Duration: 4 – 6 Months Contract

Responsibilities:

• Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications.

• Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems.

• Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.

• Search processes billions of queries for millions of products on Client sites and apps worldwide.

• Whenever a user types in a query or browses through product categories on the web site, phone or the iPad, our service goes to work. We mine structured and semi-structured data from product catalogs, social web, transactions, query logs, etc. at an unprecedented scale. We work on big data problems, cutting edge relevance algorithms from information retrieval, machine learning, and ranking to deliver a high-availability, low-latency service, which directly impacts business metrics Are you passionate about DevOps? As a DevOps Engineer, you will be working with world-class engineering and production operations teams to scale up our application environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of working experience in DevOps with 24x7 on-call support and uptime environment.

• At least 2 years of working experience in Unix/Linux system Administration.

• At least 3 years of experience in Python and Java.

• At least 3 years of experience in DevOps tools and customer facing production environment.

• Solid work experience required in these DevOps stack:- Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Ansible, Graphite, Git/Gerrit, Nagios, Nexus, GIT, Docker, Hadoop and Tomcat.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate technical issues to nontechnical and technical audiences.

• Demonstrate strong ability to drive project and delivery results.

• Show passion for devops career and help improve operational excellence KPI.

• Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and 2-4 years of experience.
