Meet the Team

Our front-end engineering team within Cisco CX Engineering builds the user-facing platform that powers Cisco IQ, an enterprise-grade product that helps customers and partners track, manage, and derive insights from their Cisco install base. Our work spans multiple applications and shared UI frameworks that directly shape how network engineers and CISOs experience Cisco's digital ecosystem. We operate in a fast paced agile environment and are actively reshaping how we build software — incorporating AI-assisted development, design tooling integrations, and intelligent code generation into our daily workflow. If you want to work on a team that ships real product, mentors each other, and isn't afraid to change how engineering gets done, we want to hear from you.

Your Impact

As a Software Engineering Technical Leader, you will define the technical direction for our front-end platform, elevating the team through hands-on mentorship, architectural guidance, and a relentless focus on quality. You will own the end-to-end technical delivery of medium-to-large features — from design and architecture through to production — while partnering closely with UX, product management, and backend teams to ensure we are building the right solutions, the right way.

You will also help the team incorporate AI-assisted development into their day-to-day workflow — establishing sensible patterns for how we use these tools and ensuring the code we ship with their help meets the same bar as everything else. Your influence will extend beyond your immediate team as you contribute to shared component systems, shape our metadata-driven UI framework, and communicate architectural trade-offs and delivery decisions to cross-functional partners. Success in this role is defined by a team that ships high-quality features with confidence, grows technically under your mentorship, and builds software that earns customer trust.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors in a STEM field with 8+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience.

  • Experience building production web applications with TypeScript or modern JavaScript (ES6+) in a component-based framework (Angular, React, Vue, or similar).

  • Experience architecting and delivering large-scale web applications or multi-team front-end features.

  • Experience in front-end architecture principles: component-based design, state management, performance optimization, or design system integration.

  • Experience using AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent).

  • Experience with reactive state management patterns at scale (e.g., signals-based reactivity, NgRx Signals, Redux, MobX, or equivalent).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience helping a team adopt AI-assisted development tools effectively.

  • Experience building or contributing to metadata- or configuration-driven UI frameworks that decouple data structures from presentation.

  • Angular-specific expertise: signals, standalone components, the modern control flow syntax, and the Angular CLI/build ecosystem.

  • Experience mentoring engineers through code reviews and design feedback.

  • Experience designing or working within Micro Front End (MFE) architectures — module federation, independent deployment strategies, and cross-team component integration.
