About Ramp

Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $100B in annualized spend flows in and out of 50,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.

The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.

We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.

The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.

If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.

About the Role

Ramp is looking for an experienced Solutions Architect, Procurement (Pre-Sales, Enterprise) to serve as the technical and functional expert for Procurement and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) within our Solutions organization. This role is designed for someone who brings deep procurement domain expertise, technical implementation knowledge, and architect-level solution design skills to accelerate Ramp’s most complex, high-value enterprise evaluations.

You will support enterprise Account Executives and Solutions Consultants in running sophisticated procurement cycles end-to-end — leading deep discovery, validating technical requirements, designing future-state workflows, and creating pre-sale implementation plans that ensure a seamless handoff to onboarding. You will act as Ramp’s primary procurement SME in the sales cycle and will partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Post-Sales Solutions to influence roadmap and shape how Ramp’s procurement offering evolves.

This is a highly visible, customer-facing role ideal for former P2P implementers, procurement architects, or senior-level SCs with technical depth.

What You'll DoLead technical discovery and solution design
  • Conduct deep-dive discovery sessions on procurement workflows, vendor management, sourcing, approvals, catalog strategy, and 3-way match requirements

  • Map customer procurement requirements to Ramp’s capabilities, identifying gaps and designing scalable workarounds

  • Analyze ERP configurations and data structures (Vendor Master, PO, Invoice, Receipt) to ensure compatibility with Ramp’s deployment patterns

Drive technical validation and pre-sale implementation planning
  • Build pre-sale implementation plans (phases, timelines, dependencies) to eliminate re-discovery during onboarding

  • Conduct integration assessments, including API workflow validation, SFTP/data exchange requirements, and security/permissions modeling

  • Create workflow prototypes, configurations, and proof-of-concepts when needed to accelerate technical validation

Partner with Sales to win complex enterprise deals
  • Operate as the procurement technical lead in enterprise opportunities

  • Join high-value and complex P2P evaluations as the primary procurement SME, either as an overlay or as the lead SC for procurement-first deals

  • Quantify customer pain, run gap analyses, and translate procurement challenges into measurable ROI and value propositions

Influence product and GTM strategy
  • Provide structured feedback to Product on gaps, customer needs, and market trends

  • Help shape Ramp’s procurement roadmap and competitive positioning

  • Maintain a bird’s-eye view of the procurement technology landscape to inform strategic decisions

Ensure seamless handoff to onboarding
  • Document all procurement requirements, decisions, and implementation guidance in a standardized format

  • Partner closely with Implementation and Technical Consulting teams to ensure they begin activation without additional discovery

  • Maintain consultative availability throughout onboarding when complex escalations arise

Travel
  • Travel up to 30%+ for onsite discovery workshops, executive briefings, and solution validation sessions

What You Need
  • 8+ years of experience in Procurement, P2P, ERP, or similar technical implementation roles

  • Deep understanding of end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, procurement operations, vendor management, AP, bill pay, and contract workflows

  • Hands-on experience designing or implementing P2P solutions (Coupa, Ariba, Zip, Ivalua, Workday, NetSuite, etc.)

  • Strong technical acumen — API experience required, plus familiarity with SFTP, integrations, data migration, SCIM/SAML, and ERP financial objects

  • Experience running enterprise evaluations with C-suite and VP-level stakeholders

  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex workflows into clear solutions

  • Ability to design future-state workflows and build pre-sale implementation plans

Nice to Have
  • Certifications in Coupa, Ariba, Workday, or other ERP/P2P platforms

  • SQL or scripting familiarity

  • Experience working closely with Product teams to influence roadmap
