About Ramp

Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.

The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.

We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.

The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.

If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.

About the Role

Solutions Consultants, Post-Sales at Ramp partner with Account Management to deepen and expand relationships with existing Ramp customers. You'll act as the technical and financial subject matter expert across the customer lifecycle — running product demonstrations to expand customers onto new Ramp products, while bringing the depth needed to resolve complex ERP integrations, configuration challenges, and technical blockers.

You'll collaborate closely with Account Managers to assess requirements, design scalable solutions, and ensure fast time-to-value as customers grow with Ramp. You will partner with Post-Sales teams to drive Product, Design and Engineering teams' roadmaps to evolve Ramp to better serve our customers at scale and offer increasingly higher value to the customers. This role requires strong technical skills — comfort with APIs, ERP systems, and integration architecture — paired with the communication ability to translate complexity into clear business value for finance and operations stakeholders.

This role is focused on Commercial and Mid-Market customers, supporting high-growth companies with standardized financial workflows and core ERP integrations.

What You'll Do
  • Partner with Account Managers to demonstrate new Ramp products and features to existing customers, building the business case for expansion through customized demos and workflow illustrations

  • Evaluate customer requirements for expansion opportunities, assessing fit through use-case analysis, ROI assessments, and technical scoping

  • Design and recommend best-fit Ramp architecture — including when and how to use APIs, ERP integrations, and HRIS connectors — based on each customer's existing systems and workflows

  • Act as a technical advisor to customers and internal teams, guiding integration, configuration, and system design decisions without writing code directly

  • Troubleshoot ERP and integration blockers, and guide customers through complex configuration decisions across NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle Fusion, and others

  • Support Account Managers on technical workstreams, ensuring faster time-to-value during product rollouts and expansions

  • Be a subject matter expert across accounting systems and integration partners; advocate for integration development in line with customer needs alongside Product and Partners

  • Influence Ramp's product roadmap by channeling customer pain points and feedback to Product and Engineering teams

  • Contribute to internal documentation, tooling, and knowledge bases that scale Ramp's ability to support integration use cases across a growing customer base

What You Need
  • 3+ years in Solutions Consulting, Technical Consulting, Implementation, or a similar customer-facing technical role in SaaS or fintech

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, finance, business, or a related field

  • Hands-on familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle Fusion) and finance/accounting workflows

  • Comfort with APIs, integration logic, and system architecture — and the ability to explain those concepts clearly to finance and operations stakeholders

  • Experience running product demonstrations and translating complex technical capabilities into clear business value

  • Strong communication skills: able to guide customers toward scalable approaches and diplomatically steer conversations when requests are misaligned with product capabilities or best practices

  • Collaborative mindset; effective working cross-functionally with Account Management, Product, and Engineering

  • Thrives in ambiguity and fast-paced environments; highly organized, ownership-oriented, and resourceful as Ramp scales its upmarket motion

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
